Please help me find a great 4+ ct cushion!

Not really. At least not for a square.
You can eek out a bit more in a rectangle, probably.

But you are going to halo it right? I mean... you won't be able to tell the difference once it is haloed. It's all going to look about the same size. And what's going to matter then is color and performance. Maybe you aren't haloing it? I can't remember.

Not to say you shouldn't keep looking. You can, and with as much money as you are spending, you should. But I do think you need to be realistic. And again, if the edges of the stone aren't bright, it's going to look smaller. So performance matters.

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing that GOG J. It doesn't sound like what the op is looking for, but in case that evolves i thought id mention it was one of the most gorgeous stones I've seen in my life. The facet pattern was lovely (the inner clover shape was a little smaller than some others) and the near square ratio ... Truly jaw dropping!

It's okay.

I still think this one is right in your wheel house, is there some reason you haven't looked closer at this one:

O.K so why doesn't that cushion do it for you, the size? It's one of the better cut modern cushions I think I have seen in a while. If you are THAT concerned about size then either halo it, or buy a round or an Emerald because they will give you a bigger looking stone visually for the price. Or look for a longer cushion that has narrower proportions across the finger but gives more coverage up and down lengthways.....
