For those of you who haven't been following my "journey" or recall any of my older posts - after months of researching, talking to jewelers, and getting advice from the PriceScope community, I ended up purchasing a 2.06 carat, H color, VS2, ACA cut from White Flash. I also purchased a Vatche U-113 setting from WhiteFlash as well. I received the loose stone in late July and the setting approximately 4 weeks afterward. I have been crazy busy at work and finally found the time to have the stone set today.

As an aside, WhiteFlash was very easy to work with and has a very knowledgeable (and patient) staff. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is still in the market for fine jewelry.

Anyways, here are some of the pictures of the final product. The first set of pictures are of the ring in the WhiteFlash cherry wood box.

Here is me fooling around with the ring in direct sunlight. This stone SHINES!

All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Congrats !! Beautiful diamond and setting
Wear it in good health.

I am considering this mounting as well. Cannot tell from your profile picture
but is the culet visible and accessible for cleaning with a toothbrush and liquid detergent?

Do you know if Vatche offers a "tall" versus a "medium" head?

Can you please post pictures of this lovely ring on your finger?

The culet is barely visible from the underside of the mount but is not cleanable with a toothbrush but maybe with liquid detergent...

The ring is actually for my girlfriend but I will take pictures and post them in due time after the proposal

I do not know if Vatche offers a medium vs. tall head...You might want to give WhiteFlash or another Vatche vendor a call. The setting I got is the U-113 model...

Absolutely beautiful, perfect setting - classic and it will never date. :wavey:

My favorite classic setting, I love this!

Looks great! It has nice presence, and I agree that the setting is quite lovely. Can't wait to hear how the proposal goes! :wavey:

You done good! :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

I also have the Vatche U-113.

Yes, I can clean the pavilion with a brush. They set the stone medium height. There is only one head. A couple of people have asked for their stones to be set high, but I do not understand why anyone would want higher than the normal height that they set the stones, because I don't think it looks right. I'd kind of like an antique style setting, but one reason I hesitate to do so is that this setting allows me to clean the diamond easily.

Twinkle...great choice of diamond and setting! :appl: :appl: :appl: It is gorgeous!

WOW! Spectacular!!!!

Beautiful!

Thanks everyone for all of the compliments. I am glad that I found a community like pricescope. Without this forum, I would never have found such a great diamond! I can't wait to see the look on my girlfriend's face when I propose

This is beautiful. I bought very similar ring. 2ct ACA with Vatche U113 setting. I bought lower color though to meet my budget.

Did you change the mix of the alloy? I noticed that Vatche uses PT950/Iridium rather than PT900/iridium or PT950/ruthenium. The lady at whiteflash told me that for practical purposes, they are very identical even though the number is very different.

Changing to ruthenium cost $200 and it increase production time to 3 - 4 weeks. I passed because I need it by 10/1. What do you guys think?

I got a Solitaire Metal Mix: Platinum 950 with Ruthenium. I was charged $1,843 by WF ($1,900 less a $57 wire discount).

Post pictures of your ring when you get a chance! I would like to see others that are similar to the one I bought!

It's beautiful!!!! Your fiancé is going to be one very happy lady!

It is absolutely stunning! You picked a fantastic stone & such a classic setting - your FI is going to be over the moon!

that is a stunning rock; any girl that says no to that, does not deserve to be proposed to. :wall:

Just beautiful! Truly timeless!

Your ACA is gorgeous and it looks great in your ring.

Here are some random shots of the stone before it was set. The first picture is my ACA next to a Hearts on Fire stone. The last picture shows the setting without the stone (taken by WF).

Hi!! I was just wondering if you ordered the Vatche setting the way it comes, or did you modify the width or prongs? I really love it exactly how you ordered it with the 2 carat round. It's perfect!!!

Did Whiteflash tell you that the allow was different? I was browsing their store a few months ago, and Brittany looked it up and called Vatche to confirm that they use PT950/ruthenium.

Perhaps the allows differ depending on the Vatche setting?

This thread was from 2014; I don't think the poster has been around for quite awhile. I would consider your recent info from Whiteflash the most up to date that Vatche provides now.
