Thank you! @HappyNewLife is the only one I've been able to find so far and they said they don't have any pictures of it with a smaller stone, I want to see some real life pictures of it with a half carat stone before committing to it.

Hi frogplus, this isn't the Yoni ring but it does show a .5 diamond in a tapered band so you can see what it looks like on a small size 4 hand. It's the Mark Morrell petite torchiere.

Also it might be worth reading the white gold vs platinum thread with the threads by Layla. Just so you're informed on some of the potential issues to do with metal choice.

I've seen that torchiere setting but I think it only comes in platinum and I like the white look of white gold, easier to find a jeweler to work with it, and less expensive than platinum.

I'm also not loving this part, I saw two settings I liked today but this part, I think it's called the shoulder? It's too high.

It's true there is a lot of variation among the basic 6 prong, tapered solitaire style and it's worth taking the time to work out what you prefer. I mostly posted that ring so you could see how a diamond of the same size you are using looks in this style of ring. I think the .5 diamond looks great.

The part you dont like...when the shank gets pinched as it approaches the head the height of the metal needs to increase to retain the integrity of
the setting. So maybe you dont want a setting that gets pinched at the head (even though it helps to accentuate the stone).

Yeah I just realized that last night. I guess I need to decide what I like more... Tapered or low shoulders
