What type of pave would be considered the most durable? Also, if it's not too much, can you post examples of some types of pave as well.
Thanks :-)

All pave is delicate. I read something interesting once. If you have a pave ring, and you put it on a table and just left it there for ten years, none of the stones would 'drop out'. Its only when you wear it that this can happen. So you need to ask yourself how heavy are you on jewellery? Are you careful and only wear it to go out, or do you wear it 24/7? Do you wear your rings to go to the gym, to do housework etc? These are all factors in whether you will lose small stones. Of course, accidents can happen. You might accidentaly hit your ring and lose a stone. But on the whole, if you are willing to be careful with your piece why not get pave. Just don't go into it thinking you will never lose one of the melee. :))

Thank you Swingirl and Maisie! I don't feel I am hard on my jewelry but I've never had anything as delicate as pave. I love the look of pave and I realize its delicate, I just wanted to find out type is most durable. I really like the bright cut pave because it *looks* to be more durable than other types of pave. I could be wrong tho, and I cannot find anything on this in past threads.

To summarize, Victor told her that the bright cut pave eternity band is much safer than the others. However, I personally I like the look of the U-cut shallow pave eternity band. Victor quoted me around $2500 for the latter style, depending on other options such as width of the band/single cut diamonds.

Hope this is helpful!

The link keeps sending me to a root canal thread lol. I found it though. Just by quickly scanning the thread, it seems very imformative. Thank you.

Here is that link for anyone who wants to know more about pave styles.

Maybe PS is trying to tell you that having pave is like having a root canal  !

(just kidding...I'm sure it cant be as painful as a root canal :? .)

I just want to chime in and say I've worn a 3-row pave RHR 24-7 for years. I was ignorant of its delicate nature, so I really put it through the test. I've never lost one stone - lucky I'm sure, but certainly there's a difference in workmanship.

Oops! I must be dyslexic--just misread a few of the last #'s to the link! Need to check the links before I post them! LOL!

What type of pave do you own and who made your setting? thanks

haha maybe I should stay away from pave then... root canal

Brightcut is more durable. IMO if you want durable pave call Steven Kirsch. My pave on my halo is pretty much perfect.
