Shoot for H/I melee. SI and that will save you money too.
Thanks, Gypsy. H/I is an even better option than I expected - I was expecting G/H at most. The melee I was quoted for was VS, but I'll ask Jamie if there is an SI option.
Right now I'm looking at the Dream half eternity and the Shared Prong 7-stone (as a 9- or 11- stone), hopefully a trip to the jeweler will help me decide on something.

I also came to realize that I like very low set (under 2mm tall) bands. I wonder if there are any vendors out there who would be able to source G/H or I/J and also offer a low set 7- 9- or 11-stone...

Unfortunately, this is tough. I wanted the same when I commissioned the original Dream Band from BGD. And my band was a tad over 2mm in height, maybe 2.1. That was the lowest they could go at that time. Memoire is lower but $$. You can get lower with some bead set options or with some bezel sets too, in thinner widths and smaller carats.

Right now I think their lowest set option is the shared prong 7-stone (http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/wedding-and-anniversary-bands/eternity-bands/seven-stone-shared-prong-band-18k-white-gold-5391w18), which is supposed to be 1.4mm tall (supposed, because the Dream is listed as 1.8mm, so it looks like the actual dimensions can vary a bit). I actually really love that setting, and it looks like the prongs would offer a little bit more girdle protection than the Dream, but even the 9-stone version (ideally I'd love 11-stone) is coming out more expensive than the Dream.

As for bead set, I actually tried one on that we both liked in person, but good thing that I took a picture. It has 4-pointers, and I really don't find that size and band width to be flattering for my solitaire. :( I wonder why it didn't seem as wide IRL?..

Bezels would be perfect both in terms of price and size, but unfortunately I just don't see them as a wedding band for myself - they don't really fit my everyday style. At this point I'm actually starting to consider wedding studs instead...

Hi recordaras!

I was wondering if you had profile pics of your ER. Is that the stock 6 prong stuller setting? I am having setting issues and now re thinking my choices. I love the way yours looks face up. I may be just throwing it in a more temp setting for now that's why I am curious about the profile.

That does not look like a bead set band. It looks prong set. Or is that photo and example of something else? Also, who cares what things look like in photos ;)) Judge in person.

Hi!
No problem, here are the pictures. And yes, it is the stock Stuller, only with a specially ordered thinner shank (2mm instead of 2.9mm). The height of the setting is just perfect for my lifestyle - not too low and not too high.

what about a bead set band? i feel like itll be flattering for the size and style of your setting. The kind with the ribbons on the side. Maybe some millgraining? i dunno worth a try i think it would be a nice compliment

Thank you, Niel! I'll have to ask Jamie about that one. I did inquire about the regular bead set eternity (http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/wedding-and-anniversary-bands/eternity-bands/bead-set-eternity-band-18k-white-gold-5433w18), but Jamie said it was higher set than the Dream and Shared prong bands.

Hmm, you might be right - they called it bead set at the store, and I was just so overwhelmed from all the options and the lighting they have that I took their word for it. I definitely need to go back and spend some time trying stuff on.

Personally I REALLY like how the bead-set one in your picture looks with your ER - but, that's just ME! :)
