oh jcrow im so glad you are going to get the head fixed the way you want it...as someone who has lived with a head i didn''t absolutely adore (but thought was ''okay'') for the last 3 years, i am really excited to finally get a new head when i upgrade in spring, one that has a nice side view. i''m pretty much decided on LLL''s head and have mockups to show how it will look on my ring, for when i meet with leon in spring, can''t wait!

keep us posted. as for wedding rings...i love the classic eternity style with the solitiare plain band, can''t go wrong with something like that! wf has tons of options too so have fun trying things on! that is the best way IMO to see what works for your existing ring.

i think that they mentioned that they didn''t have much to show us as far as semi-eternities. so i think i should go in there knowing, or at least having a better idea than i do now, of what i want.

well they do have alot of eternity and other rings to try on which will at least give you a top down visual to see what you like with your ring and what STYLE, aka shared prong or bead set, etc...an eternity is just a semi with more diamonds! i would still look at whatever you can while there...good luck!

i think we''ve narrowed it down to a shared prong half eternity. i think we''d like it the same mm width as the e-ring, which hopefully is going to get smaller.

actually, i''ve got some pics to share.

here are they ones that WF took. first up are the early stages and wax...

and next is the redone engagement ring!!! they changed the head, shaved down the size of the ring to 2.5 mm, softened the knife edge a bit and lined up the arrows of the diamond......



ta da!!

and lastly--- my new wedding band!!! i know it''s hard to tell in the pics, but the band is a soft knife edge to match the engagement ring. and the band should be 2.5 mm to match as well. i hope i remember the specs--- i think they are 11 ACA 3 pointers...

i went in with pics of LLL''s ring in hand. i even mentioned wanting the "buttercup" head like hers. leon said that it was the solstice head. i wasn''t sure about it. but, looks like it''s the same head as in LLL''s pics.
