My jewellery adventures in Japan!

I love every single thing you got! And I can't get enough of your threads, you're a fantastic storyteller and the kind of gal I'd have a ton of fun with on a shopping trip!

We're heading to Japan next week for a holiday, I hope I get to see some amazing pieces like you did!

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Japan! What cities are you planning to visit?

Originally, Tokyo, Kyoto and Fukuoka as bases, with side trips to Kobe, Toba for the Mikimoto Pearl Museum, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

However, I would like to add Osaka into my itinerary for the 2027 trip to fill my belly.

May need to add a couple more days to the itinerary at this rate!

DK :))

I’m so so so happy you like that!!!! I spent so much time finding the “goldest” one I could get my hands on. There were so many, all of varying shades of gold but this was gold gold!

Wish I could wear gold/yellow, unfortunately, they do not suit me.

Oh my goodness!!! Squeeeeeee

Please please please start a thread when you get back!!!!!!

I miss it so so so much already!!! I found it very different to Australia but also very similar in terms of safety and comfort. Love Japan so much!!!

Ever since I bought Lil Sis her gold pearl ring I’ve wanted one of my own. It was so hard!!!! There were pearls in settings with lots of frufru but the colour was kinda strange. There were gold pearls of all shades but I wanted fully gold gold. In the end I found this sweet little ring. Would have liked it bigger but I do love the gold colour.

Plus the kid likes it so he can inherit it as trinket one day and trade the gold for bread.

Then the next day I hit Komehyo. I fell in love with this monstrosity

It’s made from sapphires and 5 tourmaline stamens.

I think only you would call that gold pearl ring small! What a stunner! And I love the "monstrosity" too, I think it's such a joyful piece. Did you buy it?

Also, can I please be your sister? I hope she knows how lucky she is!
