My man proposed to me on November 27th, surprising me with the ring of my dreams! In choosing it, he had not consulted me, but rather, my Pricescope favorites folder of bookmarks in my browser! Pretty stealth, no? He quickly figured out a big trend among my faves -- a GOG AVC, and knew that had to be the stone for me. He also remembered my saying -- over a year ago -- how much I loved rose gold, and knew to incorporate that as well. After reviewing the styles I had saved, he had an idea in mind of what might work, and consulted the good folks at GOG to help create it. Soon he came across a classic Ritani setting carried by GOG that had all the elements of a perfect ring for me -- delicately thin, pave band, four prongs, and "surprise" melee stones in the basket. But could it be made in rose gold? With the help of the GOG team, it was.
The stone he chose is a 1.08 G SI2, due only to a prongable feather (what luck!). It is truly amazing and every day I still cannot believe I have it on my hand, after drooling over so many AVCs for the past year or so since I discovered PS! It means so much to me that my fiance (!!) put so much thought and love into having the ring created just for me. I am beyond blessed. Thanks for letting me share with you all!
You'll have to excuse the smudges and dirtiness of my poor ring in some of the pics -- I am a new to the whole diamond-ownership thing and can't seem to get the hang of not only cleaning it thoroughly (who knew even the pavilion could get so dingy under there!?) but keeping my paws off the stone before I start snapping the pics! I will have to come back with some cleaner ones. As you can see, beaches and horse ranches aren't the best place to attempt them.
