I told a friend I was thinking of getting a ring.
He said, "Whatever you do don't get yellow gold!"
This guy is a cutting edge financial planner in New York City.
Very stylish, sucessful, classy guy.
He and his wife dress to kill and have a Bosendorfer piano (which he took a year off to dedicate to play and study), and a huge apartment in NY that is very tastefully decorated, (which means mostly empty).
They are in the know.
Is yellow gold really out of style now?
If so, what is the cycle time of these things that go in and out of style?
20 years?
30 years?
When did yellow gold's popularity last peak?
1970s?
1980s?
