I'd personally rather have a slightly smaller diamond in the G-I range than a 3 carat J. I'm not that color sensitive even but can see the color in the one you posted. I'm afraid in certain settings it'll look even more tinted.

I agree with this. Color is a personal preference, but it sounds like you're trying to minimize the diamonds "warmth" (which is quite obvious in the images) by trying to hide it in certain settings. If that's the case, then I think that your concerns about the color are right and you should trust your gut. Personally, I would prefer a smaller stone than one with too much warmth for my liking.

A lot of people put J's in halos. You just have to understand it's not a G. That's all. There is nothing wrong with it.

I just remembered my GF liked the ring attached. It looks like it had a litle warmth to it. it's the 2 photos (one on the setting sitting on the glass and the other on is on the left that she's wearing)

What color do you think this is? If it's a I or J that would make me think she wouldn't have a problem with the J i'm looking at. Thank you!

Can't tell color from the picture. Call the jeweler she tried it on at and ask them. Send them the photo if you have to.

^I agree - you can't tell color from that picture. This is not something worth guessing at… If your GF is okay with a little bit of warmth, that's one thing - if not, then that's another thing entirely. You need to be 100% sure. If you're concerned, then compromise on size just a little bit to get her a better color. For what it's worth, I would not want a bigger stone with more warmth - I'd rather have a slightly smaller stone with better color (unless there was some sort of special circumstances with the center stone).
