I just wanted to wish you luck in the replacement process. You may remember I severely chipped my stone back in July - and it was my fault. So I totally understand your feelings when you found out it was broken. I too had a hard time ''replaceing'' the stone that my DH and I selected at the end. And also being an avid PSer at the time - I found that working with insurance for the replacment was going to be daunting.

At least you have WF working to help you. And I know that you''ll find another stone.

I will say though - Although I do love my new stone -- I still miss my original one (stupid right). And too - every stone that I saw.. ''never measured up'' to the original. Again - stupid. But I didn''t realize how emotionally attached I was to the first one.. And even the arrows & inclusions too. Wierd.

But I guess I want to say that my advice is to pick from the best you can. And expect dissapointment in your new stone. I was... for the first week. No real reason - but again - comparing to the original.. I felt... well, still .. let down some how.

I did get over it though.

Laney, I don’t know how I missed this!
I definitely remember what happened to your stone, I was shocked that it happened and felt soo badly for you. The way your stone just broke nearly to the tip really stuck with me. I am so glad to know that there is someone out there who understands. I hope that I do not go through the remorse that you But at the same time I really appreciate what you said about expecting disappointment, I fill keep that in mind. Thanks Miss Laney!

I am sorry to say no. For some silly reason the people at Whiteflash wanted the first stone back before sending me another one...cannot imagine why.

I expect to hear from Lesley sometime today about this one and when they will be overnighting it to me. I cannot wait to see it in person! Hopefully that will end my work week on an upswing!

Marking it sold in the DB is their way of turning it ''off'', typically by the time it''s marked sold you can''t find it in a WF search but sometimes in the PS searches you can for a day or two. Otherwise after it''s turned off, you can only find it by using the actual link to the stone.

Okay ok I am really hoping; with fingers, toes, legs, ankles, and eyes crossed that this stone will move me! Whiteflash officially has the other stone back in their possession. I sent Lesley a quick email (about 30secs ago) asking to see this one in person. If I love it then it is getting set (into something) and appraised by the very charming Richard Sherwood.
And then I will be wearing that ring morning, noon, and night.

No worries! After I spoke to Brian I got an email from Miss Lesley telling me that the stone was mine, for some reason I could not open it on campus. But it is mine, they have the first stone they sent out to me back and hopefully I will be able to tell ya''ll what I think of the 2.162 tommorow morning! Yea 9am FedEx openings.

OMG, Mat!!!! I have been so busy this week I have hardly been here at all, and I see this thread. I nearly died for your loss. I wasn''t worried about WF, but I know how sentimental you can get about a stone. I so hope this new one is all that you hoped for.

I have no idea why but this made me think of Harry Potter! I cannot wait to start working (only about 8 weeks off) I will be spending my days with people who are old enough to drive.

Thank you Miss Shay,
It is funny becuase non-PSers dont understand. I told two people and both were SHOCKED that I let a jeweler (WF) work on my ring without me there, and thought that was I should have expected working across state lines.
It is so nice to hear from people who dont think I have gone mental, just becuase I say I know WF is going to make this better for V and I.
I love Pricescope it is sooo supportive!
