i bought a ring online today and now i am having buyer's remorse. i am also kinda drunk. but hilarious. please give me advice.

sorry i was trying to find a link just now to the diamond but it's proving more difficult. ummmi bought a stone
 
ok here is the v generic description of what i got :
Oval 2.21 carat G SI1 clarity diamond GIA

Bit difficult to comment on the stone based off what you have mentioned already. A link would be helpful.

As for replies, it’s either very early in the morning US time, mid-morning in Europe or the evening for us over here in Asia/Oceania (where I am). And I have a little one to get ready for bed.
 
With regards to the ring, without a link there is nothing we can do to help you.

If you have not been sober for several days, as you mentioned in your duplicate thread of this thread, I think it would be beneficial for you to seek medical help and counselling.

We need a link to what you purchased to help. But I'm more concerned about the "not having been sober in a few days" as mentioned on the other thread.
 
Looking back on the quality of the choices* I made in my life while under the influence, I would not recommend making large purchases in such a mental state.

*I never murdered anyone if that's what you're thinking. But I did plenty of stupid sh$t in college.
 
The great thing about JA purchases is there is a return period. So hopefully you’ll love the stone when you get it, but if not, back it goes! And then when you’re ready to shop for stones again, tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll help find it!

Thankfully you can return the diamond if you aren’t happy with it. There are so many helpful people here that can help you choose the perfect diamond. It’s never a good idea to make big decisions while not being sober.
 
Makes me happy to know that PS isn’t the sort of place that finds idiocy under influence “cute” or “endearing”.

If being concerned for others' wellbeing makes me nerdy, I am happy to wear such a label.

Ok, let's recap. You posted on a diamond forum for advice about a diamond. Not because you were simply excited about being engaged. The post didn't make much sense, and you gave us no info. Many of us were concerned because you said you hadn't been sober in days. It doesn't make anyone "nerdy" to find that concerning .
 
Post the GIA report number if you want advice/critique on the stone or the value of your purchase. If you do not, post in SMTB.
