My jeweller told me the ring would be done in 2 weeks, and Thursday will make 3 WEEKS!!

I hope I hear from him soon.

I literally have my email open all day waiting for the word to come through. I still gotta work out a few of the final details for actually popping the question. Three weeks left. Being on here and seeing all the cool stuff have really inspired me. I have a good idea for her wedding present already.

I feel your angst. I got the call 2 days ago to say that it will be another week. But glad that it will be another week. Time to save more $ and to make sure that the ring is as good as it can be - yay!

I looked it up and I sent my diamond off January 11th! I did it to myself though- a polish, girdle rehab, etc. then I sent it to GIA for a re eval, then worked out setting ideas... actual metal work began on April 8th. I had a bad jewelry dream and for me, that usually means good news is coming. Better to wait rather than have a bad outcome.

Ok so I've been not so patiently waiting for my CADs from WF...I finally decided to email them and ask for an ETA, and was told that the were sent to DH on the 20TH!! Wah!! Evidently they were sent directly to his junk box (really?! I hate outlook!) and he didn't realize it. They look incredible!! I'm so pleased! WhiteFlash nailed it and I'm looking forward to moving into production. It only stings a little that the ring probably would have arrived sometime next week!

I got an email today, even though i had them change the CADs slightly, they still said my ring should ship on the 6th!!!

however, i have seen a pic of the ring and i am not sure about it. i am too embarrassed to even show you the photos. there are a few things that i think need correcting.

I have been advised to just have a look at it. the gemologist has included a return paid postage for me. i will most likely be using it to return the ring for them to correct it.

So, i am a little disappointed with the gemologist and jeweller, but i am also excited to see the outcome, hoping that it is the photo taking that is making it look worse than what it is. The eternal optimist that I am. I have been 'waiting' for this ring since jan 2013... well, the inspiration ring was found in Jan 2013. the diamond soon after that... so the story goes on.....

just mixed emotions really. I know that they will do right for me as they have done a few pieces for me in the past.

what are your main concerns? I hope the ring looks much better and that you love it in real life. i had the same feeling about my VNC ring and I loved it loads when i saw it in real life!

I'm so scared of this happening to me. My ring is going on 2 weeks late, and we're reaching the deadline very soon. Kinda Annoyed.

IDtoTX my VNJ is above the this thread. Im receiving my SK ring on Monday fingers crossed.

I had gotten an email last week saying "will be shipped 6/6"


So I emailed yesterday asking if I'd get a picture before it ships tomorrow. I got as response back telling me a photo takes extra time, and "our notes show you shipping 6/11".



I told them that I had just gotten an email confirming that date. The personal I was usually working with was out so I got another girl. She didn't seem to care. "My notes show. My notes show....". And when I copied the email I got with the 6/6 date she kind of ignored it, then had me speak with a manager. I don't really like that sense I wasn't being rude and was just looking for some understanding. I'm a service rep myself so I have high expectations. She didn't really seem to meet them.

He was really nice checked to see if it could be expedited at all sense I had gotten confirmation on an earlier date, and it wasn't corrected until I emailed THEM asking about it. He said he tried and couldn't. That's OK. I just wanted someone to see if that was possible. It was a not annoying that the first service rep wasn't being helpful. But he was so that's cool. I get these things happen. And I appreciate the manager I spoke with, he was very professional, its just annoying. now I have to wait until Wednesday.

I mean had I not asked I just would have been wondering where my confirmation email was

an update.......

the ring arrived earlier today. there are some changes that need they need to make. off to the jeweller.

another week or so is not a problem considering the time frame already. fortunately, it is not for an important occasion!
