Also, maybe look at CVB designs

unfortunately, yes! haha I've explored recuts, selling and buying something else etc, but at this time, i'm choosing to love as isI'm just growing a bit tiered of the setting now!
i wonder if a pair of super ideal "buddies" would bring some sparkle..... make it a 3 stone... it's not unique but it's a Classic Look.....

I thought I'd start us a thread. 3-stone rings seem to be a bit less 'popular' than the large door-knocker solitaires (though there's nothing wrong with those, either!!)...so I thought maybe some of you would enjoy playing in this sandbox with me...
Here is mine....it currently resides on my engagement finger, as my sapphire engagement ring from 21 years ago is lost....until we get another one made up, this one was given to my by my Sweetie to keep my ring finger warm.
2ct RB centre, 2 x 1/2 ct RB sides. All 3 are H in colour, VS1 (centre stone) VS2 (side stones) White gold head, yellow...

My center stone is the same size as yours (7.7mm), and I went with .46 (4.95mm), so that might help you
gauge what size you want. (see avatar)
i see you have posted on the Synth board... I assume you priced 1ct-> 1.25 ACA naturalsand will be going LGD instead..... might be tough finding LGD color match for an I .... you may want to just build an entire new LGD 3 stone and repurpose the natural 60/60 to a big pendant....
i don't do LGB's but if i did i'd probably avoid mixing them in same piece.... in the future it's going be tough for heirs/grandchildren etc to know whats $$ and what's not...
If the recut is only a .2 difference - I say go for it! I like the idea of adding sides for coverage. I have thin fingers and my 3 stone cover almost my entire finger (.3 sides and 1.3 center). I do get some good sparkle from the side stones.Thats when I thought of the recut, because the middle stone would likely go down to about 1.5carats, then adding two more would still give plenty of finger coverage!

Hi @anon34985. I went through a similar situation with my original engagement ring. I already have a larger stone ring that was an upgrade from several years ago, and my engagement ring was not getting any wear. So I decided to take the ring and a pair of earrings that was sitting in my draw and went to David Klass to have him make me a three stone. Now I wear it all the time! Stats: center stone 1.77 cts, side stones 0.70 ct each, set in platinum with milgrain. Good luck with what you decide!

Could you post some things that you’ve liked, your “must haves” or dislikes… just to get an idea of your taste before we post some inspo pieces?
Do you still want a solitaire, a halo or 3 stone? Are you ok incorporating colour into the design or you’d like to keep it gold/platinum and diamond only? What colour of gold are you leaning towards? What kind of styles do you like - vintage, architectural, floral/nature etc?
wow!! that is gorgeous! I really like those proportionsSomeone on my other thread seemed to have pause about using higher quality cut side stones vs my centre stone. Are yours all similar cut quality?
They are all the same color (H) but the middle stone is SI1 and the sides are VS1.
