Ideas for a unique(ish) Round diamond engagement ring!

Sorry, i mean "cut" wise... my middle stone is a GIA ex, however, it is poorly cut. I am worried about getting really well cut side stones would make my centre stone look bad.

Same with my middle stone - it's poorly cut - we didn't even get a certificate. My husband bought it 25 years ago not knowing anything about cut quality. The earrings were more recent and they are pricescope quality from IDJ.

By today’s standards you would have said my last stone was “poorly cut” but I’m telling you - it was the whitest, brightest, sparkliest ring. It was only 1ct center with .3 sides - it was set pretty high compared to what is popular now. The side stones were also 60/60 - and not great quality- but I got more compliments on that ring than my current ring - which is a 3 stone SIC - 2 ct total. My 60/60 was white and bright in every light and gave so many sparkles - just not colored,
I think you should embrace it and realize you will still have a massive, sparkly stone on your finger. Maybe go with a solitaire and 2 stacked bands - one on either side. It’ll give you tons of sparkle and coverage. Sit your center a little higher if you want it to look even bigger and enjoy the light show.
Not a single person I know has a SIC - we’ve all been married for 20-25 years - and all of my friends have sparkly, beautiful diamonds. I’m sure they are all 60/60.
Focus on the fact that you won’t ever have to deal with it “going dark” in some light. It’s going to be gorgeous in candlelight, it will look amazing in every picture (trust me on this one), you’ll never have to deal with light obstruction disappointment.
Do you have one of those “fake ring” diamond holders? Maybe you need to get one, put your stone in it, wear it, take some pics… have a family member wear it and view it as an observer. I bet you’ll be blown away at its size and sparkle.
