Apparently the seeds of the carob tree are of a very consistent weight, so they were used as a weight reference.

This quartz hung from the ceiling in its own alcove.
It was about three feet tall and weighs about 800 pounds.

But I'm not sure if the public is welcome to walk through.

There was lots of security and I was already there to pick up a diamond from their lab.

I love this piece! Thanks for taking the time to post all these pictures Moh!!! And that giant quartz was quite cool as well. I'm going to go back and have a look through your pictures again.
