Kenny, I started posting advises and then realized that you do not need them since you are in hands of specialists - please accept my hugs, best wishes and prayers (I do not know what DUST is...).

I don't get the dust thing either.

PS dust=good vibes, positive thoughts, etc. Not everyone is religious and/or prays.

I had an important appointment today with one superb doc.
Politicians and celbs from around the world fly in to get chopped open by this guy.

Looks like I'll go under his knife in early Oct.

I've been thinking the same thing lately. How life is sometimes interesting and you really never know what to expect. I'm happy you found a good doctor. That's so important to find someone with a good reputation, who you also respect, like (as a human being) and trust.

This may sound corny, but do you know what helped me when I was feeling particularly crummy? My dogs. Cuddling up with a couple of my dogs on my husband's huge chaise recliner. How are Kizzy & Yaya doing with all this? I know my pups always sense when there's tension of some sort in the house. Puppy love actually does help at a time like this.

Yes, I was pretty out of it the first couple days and the dogs really notice it.
They seemed to understand and they did what they could to offer comfort.
It's weird.

Oh, also BTW this doc says I could opt to leave the organ there and try radiation but...
Since my life expectancy is 25 - 30 year there is a lot of time for the cancer to return.
If it does the organ the entire region is much less operable.
He said the cancer cells that show up there after radiation are particularly aggressive and they very quickly make a huge mess of the area, and surgery will result in almost certain incontinence and impotence and much higher chances it has spread.

Kenny, you also have parrot love, that has to be a happy thing! Great to hear you found a doc you trust. Makes a huuuge difference. Super news he says it hasn't spread! I know you'll come out of this healthy & strong, not to mention wise & wonderful as always. Ready for all those lonely FCDs waiting for you to give them a home.

My radical prostatectomy surgery is a week from tomorrow.
It will be nice to get it over with.

I'll have my laptop in the hospital so I can take and post pics of the oozing wound as I'm all doped up on morphine.
They give you a trigger to press so you can give yourself hits of the dope.
