I noticed you've switched that onto your e-ring hand, and moved your e-ring to a RHR!
Only for the picture. It won't fit in my RH ring finger as it is now, I can squeeze it onto my left.
It as it sits now it doesn't look amazing with my wedding band so as you are totally right I will switch them up now, but after the wedding who knows. The stone sits a little high in the setting and needs to be a little lower before it'll go well with my Trinity.
But yes you and bcat are right I will totally switch them up when my mood permits. while still engaged at least I think my hands look pretty cool.
My FI for some reason seems to have an affinity for the marquise. He couldn't care less about my round but he always gets interested in this shape. Even more than my old pear
Right! Very white. I'll be interested what the appraisal says, as I always assume the seller is going to round up. Like to get it cert'ed one day but that's a long ways off. Now I just need an appraisal for insurancd , as the I1 makes me want the extra protection lol.arkieb1|1375438931|3495153 said:I don't think you need us to help find something for you for the SIL, I think YOU do pretty damn well on your own!!!! Pretty stone, great finger presence, and it's very white facing for an "L" colour!!!!

What's really remarkable is that initially I was not even fond about marquises. They have really grown on me due to eye candy I saw here on PS. I am now considering buying one![]()

What I love about marquises is the elongated form and the understated chique beauty. I will first study a bit here on PS to learn what (not) to look for when buying a marquise.
Love yours too Rubymd!!! It looks so nice with the Rubies as sidestones.
Niel|1375374926|3494598 said:So I bought a diamond marquise ring off eBay last week. It was a L(ish) I1 ( ish) marquise measuring about 10.3x5.1.
Based on the description, I would have stayed far away from it
BUT it had a tempting price tag and a free return I had to pull the trigger.
It came today and I am amazed!!
The sparkle is what surprised me first. The tips are so fiery. No dead areas at all. The clarity in no way decreases the sparkle factor. it has a bowtie, but its not a bothersome one.
Second the clarity. Looking at it not the hand I see nothing! There's a feather you can see at about 6 inches, but as a RHR I'm comfortable with that, its hard to find unless you're looking.
Color: this was the number one thing holding me back. The h in my pear sometimes was unattractive. So an L... how could I like it. Well this stone is so flipping well cut and bright it doesn't get dingy or ugly at all. It a chameleon. In some lights its a twinge yellow but again not dingy. Often times still really white.
The setting. Its a but high, but the baguettes are beautiful and the setting makes the marquise look classic. Not at all 80s
Price. As some of you know I'm looking for a cheap ring for my FBIL. this ring was just barely out of his budget!!
I'm having trouble getting a good pic because my camera phone has a black back and it makes the bowtie seem SOOO much more predominant than it is.
