Hello again all,

So it looks like I have finally decided on the ultra classic RB with tapered baguettes 3 stone ring as the one to go with.

I have seen this ring in person at HW and TIFF and have seen photos of the LM version here on price scope.
(Do not like the Tiff one bc the baguettes are set at a low angle and look like "wings" as lingpanda01 mentioned)

I have also studied the following thread by lingpanda01 about details of this setting:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/any-pics-of-leon-mege-harry-winston-3-stone-baguette-settings-with-stones-under-2ct.128282/?hilit=leon

However, I have been unable to find anywhere a profile picture of the HW version to compare with the LM.

I know that I love the HW and consider it "perfection" but I also know that Leon will create something just as beautiful and "perfect".

Before I begin the whole process I would like to learn :read: what draws me so much to the HW setting so that I can communicate those details to LM. Hence, the need for profile view.

Can anyone help?

Oo.. I did lots of research on this. Both are VERY similar profile-wise. I don't have time to dig up all the Leon threads but here's the only HW example I know of on PS - https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/finally-engaged-and-heres-my-gorgeous-e-ring.121006/

Here's a beautiful Leon example - https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/mine.55973/page-2

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for that iota15.

Wow that HW is so beautiful! Almost makes me want to get a radiant too hehe!

Any apparent differences b/w the LM and HW that anyone can notice? They seem extremely similar.

There's someone here, but I can't remember who, that has a large round briliant in a baguette setting from Leon.

Just send him the pic of the HW and ask that the shoulders connect with the baguettes in a similar way. That's the biggest difference I see.

Thanks Gypsy and bigdiamondtinygal!

While robh505's ring is gorgeous I am looking for a more minimalistic look of three stone baguette setting or possibly even solitaire.

Gypsy: when you say send him a photo of the way the baguettes connect to shoulders what exactly do you mean? I am not sure I am able to discern this detail myself, not having soon both rings side by side in real life?

I find that I am not fond of the way the RB with 2 baguettes setting looks like in photos but when I see it in real life it looks completely different and I love it. Some have commented that this setting is a bit "old" and "mature" and (strangely) again while I tend to agree when looking at photos it is absolutely different when I see it in real life on the hand! I am attracted to the timelessness and simplicity of it and that it would age well as time passes (imo).

Another related question.

I know no reputable jeweler will make exact "replicas" of a designer setting.

What is your advice on approcaching Leon about this? I really love the HW setting and don't want to sound like I want him to make a copy. However, there are cetain stylistic elements which I absolutely want (some of which Leon seems to have adopted himself: double claw prongs?, shoulders on the 3 stone baguette settings etc)

Was anyone faced with a similar situation?

Thanks
