Hope the President does a good job for USA

Yup, our disgusting POTUS is encouraging white supremacists. That's our life now. The same man who screamed about how Obama and HRC couldnt say "radical terrorism", won't speak out against freaking Nazis. He is the most pathetic and disgusting human being.

I thought the same thing @lovedogs. Trump is disgusting. When the leader of a hate group states they helped elect you why on earth would you not speak out immediately how this is not acceptable and has no place in our country. His speech today was better but quite frankly this falls into the too little, too late category.

@ABKIS We view all of this exactly the same way!!! Days I feel down that the country is going in completely the wrong direction, I feel so glad there are Pricescopers that feel the same way. It makes me feel like I am still sane around all this craziness.

I think we all need to wake up. Here is what the Daily Stormer, the leaflet of white supremacists, that organized the rally, wrote about the woman killed in the rally.

https://www.dailystormer.com/heathe...ncident-was-a-fat-childless-32-year-old-slut/

Some things need to be reposted. It is horrible, but please read it. It is our country. These people live among us.

What. The. F*cking. F*ck. Are you kidding me???????? Disgusted doesn't begin to cover what I'm feeling right now. :nono:

There seems to be some discussion about North Korea and the 6-way deal in 1994. Here is how the Washington Post Fact Checker sees it (click the link below to see the video). Try to overlook Glenn Kessler pronouncing "nuclear" nu-kyu-lar instead of nu-clee-ar (it's annoying to me):

Video: How did the 1994 deal with North Korea fall apart?
Glenn Kessler, who was The Washington Post’s diplomatic correspondent from 2002 to 2011, explains what happened to the 1994 agreement negotiated under President Bill Clinton to thwart North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. The deal was heavily criticized, but there’s plenty of bipartisan blame to go around. Be sure to stick around for the “Fact Checker extra” after the credits.

OMG. Thanks @Arkteia for posting the article. The story regarding Heather Heyer is so sick. The article speaks volumes about the core of these people. I sincerely hope this lovely young woman's family never sees this article.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this Monnie. Thank you!

I so appreciate your time MollyM.. it takes time to look up facts and opinions and read them and post them. It is true Clinton did NOT give billions to North Korea to beef up their nuclear stockpile.
From the liberal NYT...$4 billion in energy aid to North Korea.
http://www.nytimes.com/1994/10/19/w...give-aid-to-north-koreans.html?pagewanted=all
Not sure you read the article, DF. The very first sentence makes it clear that the Clinton administration had arranged for the aid, not that the U.S. was the source. And "aid" is not synonymous with monetary largesse pouring into North Korea's treasury. The article explains that the $4 billion was the estimated cost for the construction of two light-water nuclear reactors in North Korea (that's the KEDO project I spoke of @post #387 above) -- with the financing to "be supplied by South Korea, Japan, and possibly Germany, Russian, and the United States."

So no, that 1994 NY Times article does not support your assertion that "Clinton gave billions to N.K."
(fyi: South Korea & Japan bore almost 90% of the not quite $1.5 billion related to the construction of those facilities, before the plug was pulled on the project when about 1/3 completed. As noted in the 2008 Congressional Research Services Report linked @#387, the U.S. "earmarked" its contributions to the KEDO consortium for the heavy fuel oil deliveries & administrative expenses.)

Thanks ever so much, Tekate, for your kind words, that was so sweet of you!

To answer the title of this post:

Your hopes have been dashed to shit.

Had to post this.

Congrats to donald trump who today was able to read a statement prepared from his PR guys that was displayed word for word for him, from a teleprompter, explaining that racism is bad.

It astounds me that I have to " be grateful" that a president - eventually after a lot of pressure - finally starts condemning racist groups who think it is ok to kill people. Yet this is where we are.

Sadly we are 6 months into office and Trump is juggling a very possible impeachment,( corruption ) Nuclear war ( has no sense of decency or when to shut up ) and a Nazi uprising( yeah this one was obvious when he was on the campaign ) . He is rapidly accomplishing most of the things I feared would happen if he was elected.
Waiting to hear when he starts talking about postponing the election , throws out the supreme court and firing all of congress, so he can be the dictator in chief , but give him time, he is new at this.

It is ironic that Obama was criticised again and again because he didn't do enough to calm racial tensions every time there was a major incident of that nature. Yet here we have Trump who by in large has a fan base consisting of some of the most racist homophobic misogynists in your country.

The same with Hillary and those emails yet it will no doubt come to light one day that Trump and his family members have done the same thing or 10 times worse yet what is unacceptable and unforgivable for a woman is seemingly O.K for him...

Even now most of his supporters will tell you he is doing a great job because he is standing up for the US, standing up for the forgotten or the common man. Clearly these people are too set in their ways to even begin to acknowledge any other version than their own set of truths about him. If he sends you to war his supporters will clap and cheer, if he causes a white Male led uprising, the country needed an ethnic cleansing because white male people needed to feel good about themselves again and someone with big enough balls as they see it, to stand up for what they feel is their rights (because yanno those minorities keep stealing their and their children's jobs and making them feel oppressed).

The fact anyone can think the man with the golden elevator that behind closed doors calls the White House "a dump" is on their level is laughable.

The state of US politics in 2017 is a very ugly fear driven place, one that is becoming increasingly more unacceptable.

Yay for GoDaddy pulling their ability to use their server. Boo that it only took them 4 years.

I also loved the line that a 32 year old woman without children was a burden on society. Burdening whom exactly? She was employed (at a higher level than those idiots waving their KMart tiki torches). She was beautiful. She was clearly loved. Is a childless 32 year old man a burden too? Because I'm guessing that not too many of those fine specimens of manhood have successfully found someone willing to pass their genes along. I think that's probably why they're there. (Notice no women were in that crowd. Hmmmm....)

CMD2014 - I saw a few women in the white supremacists rally the night before they murdered Heather.

Today the CEO of underarmour, Intel , and Merck all left the group of people on trumps council. I am glad to see some people are saying NO to him directly.

Wow. I guess there's always a few. I would wonder what they get out of it, but maybe I don't really want to know.

The video of the rally only showed 2 that I could see with long hair and they were not on the front lines.

I saw there was a gathering of anti trump/ racism in NYC by trump tower. and I LOVED the inflatable they had on the NYC street!

Free speech but horrible. just horrible.

In fact, it is not free speech. I think it is propaganda of Nazism, and the Nazi Germany was the country US was at war with. So I think the line is very obvious here.

Her mother seems to be a nice woman who found the right words to say - in general - about her daughter. There will be a trial, too.

You know, the guy who wrote it looks...well, I know we should not criticize, otherwise how are we better than him? But I doubt anyone would like to have a child from him. Actually, this article betrays certain sexual frustration.

Heather Heyer was not married nor did she have kids, but she had a good job, was respected and loved her dog. Where is the problem? Today, women are free to choose, to have kids or not. Many don't want to, it is their choice.

Hang him now!...why waste taxpayer's $$$?...:rolleyes2:

Dancing Fire, I think what Arkteia is trying to say is how painful it will be for Heather's mother to have to go through a trial with all that will entail, not that there shouldn't be one.

Scott Paul of Alliance of American Manufacturing has also resigned.

Didn't Under Armor also resign?

Yes. I posted about it in another thread, but actually it is right in the posting above yours, too.

Don't you think that the organizers of the rally who "organized" it in such a way that people were maimed and killed, deserve some retribution, too?

OMG
I cannot believe the president just defended nazi's
Time to write my senators and representative telling them to demand trump resign.
This is absolutely insane

Trump just said there were "very fine people on both sides"
Mr trump... I don't know any "very fine" white supremacists or nazi's ...... None.
Wanting to ethnically cleanse people in a country by definition means you are NOT a wonderful human.

WTF is going on.

I was so mad when I saw this in the news today. Jake Tapper CNN had a panel discussing this. I guess a while back (probably when Trump was campaigning) Tapper asked Trump to make it known he was against these groups and Trump would not say he was. Tapper said he asked him 3 times and Trump refused. America is getting exactly what they voted for. And yet many highly religious people felt he was their guy. We should ALL be ashamed of this president.

An hour ago David Duke tweets support for Trump regarding his latest Charlottesville comments.

Anna, If you are still wondering if "your" President is doing a good job....HE SUCKS!!!!
