I just LOVE all of these collections!
It’s a beautiful blue sapphire from Gary at Finewater Gems. It’s 7mm round and I think 1.8 ct. I love glowy gems and this has just that.

Very sorry to hear that. It’s one of the hardest things in life ... losing our fur babies. I hate it.
Awwww....! Thanks so much! We love her dearly! She’s still hanging in there but is not in pain. If she were I’d bring her to the vet, but since she’s not I simply can’t make that decision. She’s at home with her people she loves.
Not only are we loosing a beloved pet, but to me she signifies my kids’ childhood. They were all young when we got her and now they are adults. It’s like the final end to an era I adored.
Thanks for asking to see her. It makes me happy to share her.
Oh wow! Such a lovely outpouring of love! It’s funny how well wishes and understanding from strangers actually helps soothe my sadness. We have a shared experience which can bind people together even if but for a moment.
It’s morning now and I have not looked for her. If my husband has, he’s not telling me. She very well could have made it through the night. And there’s always hope..... what if she’s feeling better.... what if she ate a little bit and has more energy....
I won’t keep posting in this thread except to let you know once I know something permanent. Thank you for letting me share here. But, until then, I realized she had her eyes closed in both the pics above and I want to post her with her pretty eyes showing too.

While we wait for @LittleRed I thought I'd post my top five. My number one top top favorite is a 2.89 Tsavorite garnet that took almost 9 months to acquire. Bought from our own beautiful and talented @Phoenix and cut by Nomads.
I'll start a thread for it as soon as I save up some money...

1.52 ct Rhodochrosite from Brad at The Gem Trader. This one is from China.
2.31ct pink spinel from Dhillon Jewelry on Loupe Troop
1.8ct pink sapphire from Sri Lanka. Not a great cut, but a beautiful color. I sent it to AGL because I bought it in Tuscon and wanted to be sure it was as described.
Another Rhodochrosite. 2.74ct from South Africa. Not a great picture.
Here they are all together.
It's been a long road acquiring all of these and I think I have a tiny addiction. I need a chapter of gemaholics anonymous to start up near me.

I especially liked the tsavorite and spinel. Apart from the tsavorite, the other gems were in approximately the same color palette. Does the fact that I was drawn to the spinel more than the other four indicate that I have a preference for pear cut gems?

I love the other gems too. Especially the trillion rhodochrosite from Brad.
and it's been three weeks, so don't feel left out . He will see it eventually, it's hard to miss

That trillion is such a sweet pink. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, other than admire it. Hardness of 3.5 - 4... EEK. I think it's DK pendant material. Brad has another rhodo from the Sweet Home mine and I'd love to have it as well.
@suzanne2 , I love all your pretties; but must say I'm rather partial to the green tsav!
