Here I go again. A new home for my EC!

As nervous as I was to go get this today. Here it is. I am extremely pleased with how it turned out and was blinded

when my jeweler handed it to me. I think the trapezoids make the center stone look larger so I''m not having any shrinkage syndrome going on! Does it look TOO big?

And yes, I know who I am asking here about being too big but I know that if it were too much I would get an honest opinion. I was worried that the trapezoids were too big because I''ve already been down that road with a different ring. Now I think I made the right decision about not putting the melee on the edge of the shank because when it''s on my finger you can''t even see the shank!

It''s not too big - it looks stunning. Am I on crack, or do I remember correctly that the old setting was a Harry Winston? If not Harry, I thought it was a well known name. But I''ve been known to hallucinate about jewelry before. Anyway, it is beautiful...the clean lines on that stone had me swooning!

Shrinkage on a 5 ct center??? over 7 cts total!!! OMG.....I dont think I''ll ever see a 5 ct diamond in person, let alone on my fingers!!! You are soooooooooooooo lucky!

If you get shrinkage issues on this, I''ll have to come give you a pinch to make sure you are awake!

That ring is now, officially, my very favorite of your entire collection! It just couldn't be better. I'm SO GLAD stuck to your first inclination and didn't add melee....it certainly doesn't need it, and I think would have added unnecessary and unwanted clutter.

I can now confess that before, I was a little disappointed in your choice of that stone....I'd been lobbying for a true Asscher...but I now realize it was the mounting (Cartier at that) that didn't set it off to it's best advantage. Now it is very clear how magnificent it is.
