Help with pre-worn Tiffany e-ring

No, August vintage is an independent company now. You can buy directly from them.

I wouldn't buy -- or not buy --the ring because of an online photo, especially since Tiffany has graded the center stone as a G (while I am critical about much of Tiffany's current operations, I've not seen a Tiffany diamond whose color grade made my eyebrows shoot up). Even if you've recently color-calibrated your computer monitor or device screen (color calibration drifts over time), most of us haven't made the inve$ment in color calibration software that semi-pro and professional photographers use. Plus, assuming that the vendor is conscientious about posting pics that reflect what they see in real life, you have no way of knowing whether your monitor/device is synced, color-wise, the same as theirs.

Bloomsbury Manor enjoys a good reputation & has a generous 30-day return policy, but it is in London. Think your friend wants to hassle with an international return shipment, should she decide the ring doesn't make her heart sing?

I wouldn't send them my money. This seems to be a mysterious outfit. No address given on website (so far as I can tell) so trying to verify their existence, true corporate identity & track record with consumers, is a dead end. And they've used GoDaddy as their domain registry proxy; ICANN records do not give any indication as to who they actually might be, where they are.

The Bloomsbury Manor ring is a 3, the BlueChip one is a 6.5, so I'm wondering what ring size your friend needs; if we know what size ring she wears, we PSers can avoid suggesting possibilities that aren't close to her size : - )

Hello

I actually am one of the owners of Bloomsburymanor Ltd. I'm not sure who you are referring to when you talk about not finding the address. Ours I hope is clearly visible but do tell me if it's not. Sometimes we're too close to the website to realise which bits aren't completely obvious.

Thanks

Found a Triple-X G, VS2 novo. Not sure if it’s the lighting, but concerned that G looks “yellow” in some of the photos. Thoughts on color?

Hi
I am actually one of the owners of Bloomsburymanor and I am so sorry about the photo - you are right, the light is terrible! The diamond is not yellow at all. I have fished it out of the vault today and if you like we can send you some updated photos. Do let me know!

Best Wishes

Hi Merritxell,

I appreciate you reaching out to your customer base to address and clarify questions and concerns. Although a new set of photos that are color calibrated would be fabulous, I am afraid that the ring being a size US 3 is too small. Seeing as how my friend’s finger is at least a 4, I am concerned that resizing more than 2 sizes my impact the original Tiffany inscriptions. I believe that’s why the PS community has advised to look for rings closer to my friend’s finger size to preserve the inscriptions. Then again, I’m not a jeweler and maybe there’s a work-around. Definitely appreciate your input.

Also, I think your question regarding the address is in reference to another online establishment, as I am confident that your business is very reputable. However, since my friend resides in the US, I’m not sure how open she’ll be to international transactions and potential import or other fees.

Been trying to find a comprehensive chart/visual representation online of the most common cushion cuts (8-main vs 4-main vs modern, etc.) Also, video recommendations to see differences in sparkle, fire, and scintillation? Thanks!

Hello

Thanks for your response. The resizing, really isn't an issue. We have an expert bench jeweller who is capable of miracle resizes without affect engravings at all. I would personally guarantee that the resize wouldn't be a problem.

When exporting abroad we hold ourselves liable for any import duties thus the customer receives their items without any delay or charge.

I hope this answers everything.

Best Wishes
