Help with engagement ring

I would go a little bigger 4.75 or 5. This time of the year your finger size is the largest.

Can you explain this more? If this time of year your finger is the largest wouldn't that mean she would need a smaller size and not larger?

We were initially thinking a 4 but that seemed a little too snug. 4.5 allowed her to get it on and off fairly easily but still stay in place on her finger. Is it better to have it a little looser on the finger than too snug? I think a 5 also stayed in place on her finger but we were afraid if it is not snug enough it may accidently come off.

I think being slightly snug is best...If it’s too loose it can spin which is really annoying...and she could possibly lose it. As long as she can get it off her finger...that is what I would do. Also, if her finger swells a little in the summer she can spray it with Windex...no kidding.. and that makes it easier to take off. The trick is to spray it and rotate the ring down your finger as you slide it off..

I had my finger sized at 7.5 which I thought was too snug for me so I went up to 7.75 which worked for me. I don’t like rings that are too tight. In the winter I know I’ll need to buy a plastic ring thing to keep my ring on. I guess it depends on the person.

If she plans to wear a band, the more rings she stacks, the tighter they all will get.

Have her try a 4 1/2 with a 4.75 (or a4 1/2 with a 5) and see how tight it gets.

Thanks, we're going to go to a jewelry place to find out what is best as currently we were just relying on those little plastic rings they ship out. Don't want to have to get it resized once we receive it.
