At first, thank you for your suggestions. I just don't know, how I should proceed. Should I ask for videos? Unfortunately your suggestions do not have videos, and I would prefer to see a video of the stone.
I prefer the two bigger stones, because I would like to stay above 9,5mm.

All of them do have videos...I linked the Loupe360 videos under each link for the diamonds, themselves. Tap the diamond to load the rotational view. :)

All of these are HPHT, but some may be Type IIb (with undisclosed blue nuance).

Appears to be a Type IIa with no blue nuance:

Might be a Type IIb, but extremely faint for blue nuance:

Looks to have slight blue nuance:

40.4° PA, so a bit shallow.

OMG! It seems, I have to go back to my eye specialist! It seems I need glasses!

I’m sorry, I haven’t recognized the links to the videos! I’ve just watched the video of the 3.42, and I love it! Thank you very much!!

I recommend not choosing a stone with a 40.4 pavilion angle for a ring. There will be some unwanted obstruction.

Thank you for your reply!

So you think the 3.4 ct. would be a better choice, even if it has a slight blue tint?

I have tried to read here on PS about obstruction, but it’s not easy to understand.

I do prefer the 3.4 to the 3.42.

Check this 3.5 out as well. The diamond is tilted in the video, but I think it's quite nice. I'm leaning towards it having no blue nuance as well.

This gif from Garry Holloway explains obstruction a bit. It's when the arrows stay dark in close-up or regular viewing.

Thank you once more for the suggestion!

The gif really helps to understand and is also funny !
I have found this explanation, which is a bit more detailed and harder to understand- at least for me:

The 3.5 ct diamond is beautiful! Unfortunately I have to pay 20% on top of the listing price for import VAT, so I really wanted to stay under 4500€ with the purchase price, but the 200€ difference in purchase price is only 40€ more VAT, so I consider it.

After a long consideration I've just placed my order for the 3.4 ct. stone. @Kim N and @DejaWiz Thank you for your help!
According to Ritani it takes 12-14 working days to deliver my purchase, I really hope, it takes shorter. I'll keep you updated!

I think that is a great choice. Please bear in mind that, as I mentioned in my previous comment, that it may have a very slight blue nuance.
Make sure to view it in lots of different lighting conditions so that you can scrutinize the heck out of it and give yourself assurance that you are 100% happy with it.
Oh, and we would love to see lots of pictures and videos of it once you get it! :)

Today was a very strange day, very good but also very stressful. The good news is, my Ritani purchase was delivered. So why was my day stressful you could ask? It was delivered by DHL Express, and the delivery was originally estimated for 18th of January. Than today in the morning I’ve got the notification about delivery today, so I had to plan over my day. On the other hand I was not able to log in to our system, so I was just sitting in front of my computer between 8 to 12 o’clock and waiting for my provider, to solve their IT problem, and for my shipment to arrive!!

The parcel was shipped by Ritani on the 12th of January and it arrived today in Vienna. I would say, it was lightning quick!!

I’m absolutely over the moon with the stone, it’s beautiful and just perfect. For my eyes there is no blue hue, what I’m really happy about. Thank you once more @Kim N and @DejaWiz

Today was an overcast rainy day, so I can’t post good pictures, but I’ve tried to do my best.

I’ve got it with a stone holder, and I’ve stacked it with my 3 ct. eternity. I’ve always wanted to have a stone big enough, to fit my 3 carat eternity sizewise. I think, this fits the bill!

Of course my cat had to look at it too:

Your new diamond is amazing - hopefully it has eased your stress quite a bit now that you have it in your grasp!

Yes, it’s absolutely a keeper! DK had already begun with the casting of my setting! I hope, it won’t take too long, it’s just a solitaire without pave. I can’t wait to have it!!

Its a combo thing that combo has some at very close distances.
LGF% has little to do with it other than slight differences in the arrows which is small compared to the paddles. Even table size does not have a huge effect.
Distance 200mm
The top one 35.5/40.4 middle 35.5/40.5 bottom 35.5 40.6 all 78lgf% and 58table

355.jpg
Top: Dull but not super dark paddles, middle: mild incomplete paddles, bottom: min. paddles.

Hi Karl.
Would this be considered as some degree of paddling for this diamond with a 40.6/35.0/56 combo, or is it likely environmental reflection?

Side note, does anyone have the picture of the two diamonds side by side showing the badly cut one visually shrinking when placed in indirect lighting?

At 40 degrees obstruction it likely has some paddling.
At 30 degrees or less not likely.

Garry's trick cz is what your looking for, they are neat but you would have to search long and hard to find a diamond cut like that.

Thank you, Karl. Is that concerning or inhibiting to the overall beauty and performance in real-world viewing conditions?

More a picture thing than a see by eye thing at that level.

@Garry H (Cut Nut) or @Texas Leaguer do either of you have the picture of the two diamonds (or CZ) showing how one visually "shrinks" under indirect lighting?
I'm tagging both of you because I think you both may have posted it in the past, but my forum search came up with bupkis.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but it is relevant to the discussion about paddling.
It is something that I have been actively trying to watch out for, but it seems to be tricky to ascertain with some videos and whether the diamond is tilted or not.
Does this diamond appear to have paddling due to the 42.5% pavilion depth, despite a nice on paper 40.6/35 pairing?

@DejaWiz any advanced images available?
My thoughts are its not padding but something is off.
I am leaning towards environmental but without more data I would move on because it could be digging.

off the top of my head... painting 4c/2p digging 2c/2p
The problem is different proportion sets have different effects from painting/digging.
Basically the further you get from 34.5 and 40.8 the more it shows.
34 and 35 have more reaction as does 40.6 and 41.
