I have found two rings I really like at Costco. I know Costco is an unconventional choice, but the quality is really high. My mother has a five stone from there and It is stunning.
Here are links to the two rings I like:

and

Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Style-wise, it's a matter of personal preference. I think the triple row look (or at least that one) is a bit dated looking, and the 5-stone look is both cleaner and more contemporary.

You can do better, price-wise, with some of the PS vendors. with IDJ you can get the same five-stone look for less money:http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_27&products_id=60533

Or slightly larger stones for about the same money. In both cases the stones are a little whiter:

Thanks, I am emailing Luann from IDJ about a quote.

I agree the second ring is more classic but the color and clarity by a GIA appraiser is not GIA certified. I wouldn't purchase something from Sam's or Costco. This is why you came to PS you want ideal cut stones and the vendors here work with every budget so you are taking the perfect steps toward a beautiful anniversary ring enjoy the process

Thanks for the advice. I am currently working with Luann at Idjewelry to create a five stone :)

I prefer the 5-stone too :)

yup!

Ok, so I am deciding between 1.75 ctw and 2 ctw for the five stone. Size 4.5 finger. What do you guys think ?

Ask how much of the top of the ring is covered by diamonds. IMHO you don't want to go above about 1/3 - for a five-stone you want all of the diamonds to show on the hand, not have some of them falling between the fingers.

or 40%... ;)

I'm going to suggest going with the 1.75 ctw ring - though I know mine will probably be the minority opinion here.

The first post in this thread shows a 5-stone with .35 ct each stones, on a size 4.5 finger. Personally, I think that's plenty of finger coverage... as I said earlier, for a 5-stone I'd want all the stones on top of my finger.

This thread has threads within threads. Lots of pictures. Not all provide the ring size or carat weight, but there are enough to show that you don't need the largest stones for lots of impact with a 5-stone.

Agree, 1.75

Correction - the picture shows .31's. a 1.75 five-stone would use .35's, so they'd be just a tiny bit larger than the stones in this ring.

Be sure to ask for eye-clean, PS-quality stones!

 :appl: Love the 5-stone style!!! Lucky lady!

I guess I just want as much bling as possible. :0 I am working with Luann and will post what I decide in the next few days!

Ok, so I finally decided what to get. Luann has been awesome so far. She has sent me pictures as well as answered my emails quickly and kindly. I decided on a 2ctw five stone and a full eternity with 16 .15 pointers. Round brilliant, f/g stones, eye clean si1s, pricescope quality. I am super excited and will post pics when I receive them! These rings will commemorate 5 years married and 11 years together!
