Please tell me what it does mean Anna when you vote for someone who openly says it is fine to sexually assault women? What Kathy Griffin did was wrong but what Trump has been doing for months and months is much worse. Please tell me why people are accepting and defending terrible behavior from the person who should be held to the highest standards. Just to be clear sexual assault is a criminal act in this country.

The funny thing thing about this thread is that I am sure none of the conservatives on PS gave enough of a damn about KG's head stunt to even post it. Ruby might have but it seems she is nowhere to be found any longer.

I prefer to have discussions with posters who provide detail in discussion rather than terse one-sentence replies unless the poster is a master at conveying information in one sentence and not many of us can do that well.

I don't have a problem. I was responding to what I though your response was to Elliott and soxfan re: ruby. I made the assumption (perhaps incorrectly) that their comments were directed toward AnnaH and her habit of 1-sentence responses. I think it ironic that if lefties made such terse responses, we might be accused of baiting.

Maybe our wires are crossed because you were responding to me. You are definitely smart enough to know baiting when you see it though. I can have a conversation with you even when you challenge me.
 
A simple reply to a simple question is appropriate. At least I try to answer people who ask me a question rather than ignore them, which often happens to conservatives here.

Anna, You make one sentence remarks ALL the time stating you don't defend the latest terrible thing Trump has done, and yet you continue to defend him. This president does one awful thing and within days does another. It's never ending, I'm not buying your comments that you don't defend his actions any more. Of course you do. If that were truly the case you would have seen reality by now and would have quit defending him. Maybe it's time you changed your avitar. I'm known many good Christian people through out my life and every one of them know the difference between right and wrong, love and hate, They would not support a person like Trump.

This is the most disgusting and intolerant post I have ever seen you make. I would expect it from those others but thought you were better than that. You are generally a nice person but this is indicative of following a group that has no ability to have a conversation without vile personal attacks. You just said you weren't a mean girl. Sad!
 
Anna, I have a hard time putting any person into the good person category when they continually defend someone who has done such terrible things. The whole religious hypocrisy just adds to that.

Never has a president tried to divide a country the way he has. He treats minorities and women terribly. How can you over look this? Don't even get me started on everything else he has been doing the past few months. Are you a white male?

I disagree with Anna's politics and recently declined to participate in a thread she started calling it "drivel". Some might say that what I said was discourteous. I was referring to the political content, however, not to Anna's character. When she takes a stance as a Trump apologist, it irks me.

I think that when we start to question each others' characters and presume to know who is good and evil we are on a very slippery slope. In my opinion, that includes determining who is a "good Christian" or a "good" member of any faith.

I guess I do make exceptions. I probably rant about the evil of some historical characters who committed genocide, but Anna is not amongst them. (Not that you used the word "evil", Callie, but implying someone is not a good Christian is part way there.)

There is plenty of opportunity to have a conversation about what is happening in our country and it is perfectly fine to disagree. But to attack the character of someone personally because they do not agree with you is the stuff of intolerance and a slippery slope as Deb said. If that is what you feel you need to do then there is no more to say. I apologize for the terse delivery of my initial reaction but I expected better from you.

Deb, I never said I thought Anna is evil. I don't, nor have I ever thought she is evil. I feel many people hide behind religion. I've also known people who claim to be extremely religious and never show an once of compassion or would go out of their way to help another person, yet they claim to be extremely religious. I'm sure I am not the person who has come in contact with a like this. I also don't feel they are evil. I'm done with saying anything else about religion.

Anna, I apologize for saying anything regarding religion. I'm sure you know I do not think you are an evil person. I look at many of the things Trump has done and they acceptable on so many levels. They certainly are not what I learned as good moral behavior in Church. Do you disagree?
