I've been following this thread with great interest and am really pleased you've decided. I think it's really easy to get lost in all the detailing and when it becomes too much you've just got to go with instinct and I'm sure your FF will love it and will love the fact that you went to so much time and effort even more!

I too preferred the Apr 6th CAD's and can't wait to see the finished article.

Oh, and good luck with the proposal - which I'm sure we'd all love to hear about too.

Still waiting. Erica's jeweler started building my ring on May 23rd, and the estimate was 2-4 weeks for construction. At the time he didn't have much backlog, so Erica thought it would be closer to 2 weeks, but tomorrow will be the end of 4 weeks and he's still working on it. So it's looking like the soonest I'll have it is the end of next week. Trust me, as soon as I get it in my hands, I'll share pictures.

Meanwhile, I've been planning my proposal, which will be awesome...

I just got my e-ring in the mail, and even though I haven't had a chance to snap my own photos yet, I think Erica did a fantastic job with her own. I created a new thread in "show me the bling" with a link to JbEG's photo site so everyone can see how it turned out:

Thanks again to everyone who offered me suggestions for this ring; it was a daunting, occasionally frustrating process, and having a bunch of knowledgeable, objective people around to bounce ideas off of really helped!
