DiaGem - do you have any other pictures of this OMC or cuts like this one? What are the dimensions on this stone?

try there...
There I found this - another really excellent cut, polish looks wonderful, and symmetry is pretty good.

I swear, there is a market for freshly, SMARTLY cuts of this type. This is not great grandma''s OMC for sure!

Thank you, its a compliment...
Thank YOU for taking the time to post those pictures, I really appreciate it.
What sort of % for depth, crown etc. do you think are good for an OMC?

Depth range for squarish shapes, 55% to 79.9%
elongated 55% to 85%

Your welcome...

Don''t think this would qualify as a cushion exactly, but I thought it was a neat cut!

Looks pretty simillar...
Yes it does... does your stone have a diamond as a table rather than a square? Have you seen those other cuts I posted? Those are bizarre and I want to learn more about them... still don''t think I''d have a change of heart from the OMC - I love the history and I love the idea of bringing that to its ideal :) In fact I love the idea so much that I''d almost like it if I didn''t think the stone would perform the way I''ve seen you make it.

Is that a french cut? I found this ~~ http://www.diamondsourceva.com/Education/Shape/diamonds-shape-other.asp ~~ page and there are all of these AMAZING cuts! That Zinnia cut is cool - I bet it would be like high white light return in the center with a halo of fire!

The Zinnia is one of several flower cuts developed by Gabi for De Beers. You could get it in CZ for play.

Wow Cehrabehra my husband is a physics major and we've been married 15 yrs and I'm looking for a fancy stone. I have had an oval for 15 yrs. I too am frustrated by the lack of info on Radiants and Cushions out there. I keep thinking of giving up and getting a round but it's so standard.

Are you sure you're not me posting under another name?

Don't go round. Best of luck in your search.

PS Just LOVED all of the diagrams and photos in this thread. Could this thread be posted as a permanent reference on PS?
