I currently have a Garland type design eternity ring that is similar to this Bluenile ringhttp://www.bluenile.com/diamond-eternity-ring-platinum_7823

The stats on the current ring are 12 x .12 Brilliant cut G SI1-VS2 and 24 x .02 melee.

I have always been a bit disappointed with the finger coverage of my ring and think its time to upgrade.

I love the design and ideally would love to have another eternity using the existing 12 x .12 stones as the smaller stones (and include more) and adding to it by incorporating some .30 as the larger stones. Hopefully the proportions will then look more like this http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-eternity-ring-platinum_7639?track=si..

My question is that because im using existing stones and will be using my own Jeweller - - i am happy to source the stones myself (ive been talking to Bluenile) But how many stones will i need for a size 6.5 ring????

Any help is greatly appreciated+

TIA

Hi amsmeq :wavey: I don't know how to figure out how many stones you will need, but thought this thread could help you.
It's a band designed by longtime poster Gypsy and was modeled after the BN garland band. She had it made by Brian Gavin who is a well respected and highly recommended jeweler. The link is to the thread by Dreamer, who purchased the band from Gypsy.
It's quite amazing and there are lots of pics in the thread :sun: This is a half eternity with five .31 stones. Maybe it will help you.

Wondering if u have any pictures of the old ring and of your new design. I am also thinking of designing my own garland and would love to see the looks you have had! Sure they ate both gorgeous!
