Thank you! It’s my first concave cut and I had no idea what I was missing. It’s a whole different look...but I like it. I like it a lot. As for setting ideas, right now I’m leaning towards a thin diamond halo. Something to help protect the tanzanite but but overpowering so the cutting can really shine.

Now there’s a fun idea! I’ll have to see if I can get a pick of them next to my oval mahenge (since I don’t have the Jeff White one yet).

Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been enabled a time or two (or two thousand).
I had a concave cut on my wishlist for years before I finally pulled the trigger on one. Now I think everyone should have at least one.

I, too, see more pink than red, so feels more springy/flower-like vs. Christmas. I think the stones are a good match in terms of brightness and saturation, and I like the size ratio. You could just store them together for a while and see how you feel every time you pull them out. Happy or hesitant? Do you get tired of it, or grow to love it more? That’s how I would proceed. Fun to have options!
ETA: sorry, reread and see this is the other one you mentioned. You could do it with this one? Ahh, the issues we come up against when we have multiple stones of the same colour...

Yes, the Jeff White mahenge hasn't been cut yet but I still wanted to see how the pink green combo would look so I pulled out my unset mahenge from GranGem. I'll follow your advice and see how I feel about them for a while (and perhaps look at some possible setting ideas for that combo in the meantime).
