Diamond huggies take two!

I bought the sweetest little pair of diamond huggie hoops a couple of days after Christmas, but one fell out of my ear twice in a month , so I decided to return them before my luck of finding the lost earring ran out. The jewelry store has a trade in policy where I could get full value if I bought something more expensive. I was sad to take them back, but found another pair I like *almost* as much yesterday, so I traded up! This is my first upgrade since joining PS, and is VERY small compared to most of yours, but I really like them, so I thought I’d share! The design is pretty and unique, and they have a lot of sparkle

Here are the Original huggies that I just returned (1/10 carat total weight). Here’s hoping the clasps on the new ones are more secure! I actually couldn't get one of them OFF this morning, so I'm hoping that's a good sign!

Thank you @junebug17! I love the design also. I just showed them to my local jeweler and she said she couldn’t even tell they were illusion settings even after I told her they were. I think they are a nice size for every day earrings

I hope to eventually trade up to get some really decent sized ones - I think an ideal size for me would be 10 pointers, which is what my eternity band is. That size always seems good to me when I hold my ring up to my ears .

I just took my ring in to get fixed, because I have a couple of loose stones, and my jeweler was wearing almost identically sized hoops to these, but with decent sized in and out diamonds, and they were FABULOUS, so that's an option also if I save enough money.

For now, I actually really like the petite nature of the diamonds on these. They still sparkle, but I don't have to worry too much about losing one, since they were a really reasonable price (under $500). I've slept in them and haven't taken them out since Friday when I got them, and I have to say, there's something really nice about not worrying while I'm wearing them. The one is really hard to get OFF, so I've just left them in for fear of interrupting the effectiveness of the clasp.

Also, I really have to say that although mall stores aren't popular here, and I completely understand why, the employees at Kay Jewelers (I live in a resort town, so it's an outlet store) were super kind and awesome to deal with. Not only do they have a trade in policy in place, but if you lose one earring forever, you can trade the remaining earring for credit toward another pair. I thought this was very reasonable!

My moms sister has no children, so she hands down her jewelry to us nieces at times. She just offered me THESE inside out diamond hoop earrings! I had to say yes. I just had to. I will post pics when I get them.

I will say that I've been loving the current set - they have remained in my ears with no incidents since purchasing them. If these new ones are too similar in size, I might trade the others back in for something else....I don't have studs yet!!!
