Deciding five stone carat weight

I sought advice on an eternity band, and after trying some on, I am now considering a five stone instead. The problem now is that I can't decide the carat weight. Is there really much of a difference between .40 and .50 pointers? I wear a size 4.75 and have short, slender fingers. I want a beautiful, eye catching rhr. I have contacted Idjewelry, Brian Gavin, whiteflash, and good old gold, as well as bluenile. I just need help choosing a size and don't want to spend a lot of extra money for a teeny difference in size no one will really notice.
Help please!

I struggled with the same dilemma and went with .40ish stones. I just couldn't justify the added cost of bumping up to larger stones for the size difference. I really love my ring, and it is super comfy.

When I decided to go with .40ish stones, I planned to upgrade to larger stones down the line, but it is so comfortable, I'm not sure I would now.

I also thought about pairing it with another ring for added bling factor, but I scrapped that idea as it totally stands on its own.

What made you decide against an eternity? If it was comfort, .50 stones may result in the diamonds going in between your fingers which may result in the same effect.

If it helps, my ring size is 4.5 and the stones go all the way across my finger.

Comfort and durability is a concern. I am just worried about the underside getting damaged. Plus, with a five stone I can get larger stones for my budget. Do you (or anyone) have any hand shots?

I am sure I have a picture... let me dig it out.

The stones will spill off to the side on your 4.75 size finger. This is a 1.27 ctw on a 4.75 size finger..

I remember one person here selling theirs with 40 pointers because they were too big. And I know someone else who feels the same way. On your size finger, .30 stones would be plenty big and blingy.

I think it depends on how that stones are set. I have a "tester" five stone ring that I got from QVC it is .50 sized stones set in a cross trelis setting and I wear a 4.5 size ring. It curves right across the top of my finger and doesn't spill over the sides at all. It is very comfortable.

I think I would try to get as close to .50 size stones as I could. I have rarely heard a girl say, "Gee I wish I had got the smaller stones."
