Don''t fret Lucky...honestly, I am expecting the worst. I would have been much more comfortable if McCain had picked someone else...she has all the republicans on edge.Date: 9/26/2008 11:01:27 PM

Maybe it is the sangria talking...but I am so nervous about the VP debate that I don''t know if I''ll even be participating in a thread! I may be banging my head against the wall like Tgal''s avatar.

I am really worried about the V.P. debate. I just think that Biden will look like a brut compared to Palin. She is going to be fragile.
I seriously doubt it will even take place. I hope the party machinery just lets her be herself, because I am afraid that she is losing confidence as a result of them shielding her and trying to mold her. Just let her be.
(But honestly, I do think that she is going to faceplant)![]()
Oh, foo! You wish!![]()
Biden better be on his toes! And you, too!
I really gotta go; the hubby is home now, and I should probably pay attention to him. The pizza is in the oven, and my wine is chilled. Time to dine!
I gotta say, I really enjoyed this. Thanks for letting me be one of the ''token Republicans'' at the party.![]()

Wolf just interviewed Biden ... afterwards, he said he wished he could hear Palin''s reaction. Anderson Cooper said, ''Don''t hold your breath.''

i was sooo looking forward to ''watching'' the debate with y''all, but bloody L.A traffic got me home late. DH and i decided to wind down with a proper diinner (and bottle of wine) before we watched the debate (which we ended up DVRing). We started a good 45 minutes late. ugh.
oh, watching it on CNN here

I see Palin has yet again been kept away from the press, and instead they trotted out *9/11!!!ZOMGTERRISTS!* Guliani *9/11!!!ZOMGTERRISTS!* because apparently Palin still isn''t allowed to wear Big Girl panties? She''s not an infant, if she is a valid VP choice she should be allowed to represent herself and if she can''t be trusted to open her mouth in front of the press and give an unscripted response to questions, how are people to have faith that she''s qualified?
I am completely sick of this election, sick of the shady, misleading mud-slinging the Republicans have been getting away with without more than orders to remove the slanderous, incorrect ads, and once PS became overrun with political threads, I have been avoiding it.
I decided to stop posting on PS until the election is over, but I am so disgusted with how things are going down that I wanted to see what people on PS had to say. Perhaps Americans are blase about how elections are run down here, but I am horrified.
We''re not blase on PS. I don''t think we are. I don''t think a political thread would thrive in a non-election year. Besides, we all want to be able to have money to buy our bling.Date: 9/26/2008 11:14:27 PM

I agree. I am sure tomorrow people will go to their "respective threads" for more serious commentary. We all watched the debate (or tried to with all this multitasking). But I like all the PS ladies and if it means we put aside our differences to enjoy watching the debate together, I think that''s fine. We all had a good time, and it was a nice break from everyone bristling.Date: 9/26/2008 11:20:16 PM

Having said that, this is the first thread in which each camp...Dems, Reps and Independs..lol that is me...InDepends....sorry.
Anyway, it is the first time that we have just ''united'' in a common bond....even if we don''t agree on the strategy to meet our needs, there were no attacks, no ugliness, not a lot of pettiness (except snarky funny petty ones) so I for one am very satisfied with this thread.
