I looooooved this one: http://www.loveaffairdiamonds.com/s...n-mege-five-stone-band-bgd-ags-000-j-vs1-si1/

But I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the J colour, and I’m also not sure if I have enough finger for a 5-stone that wide to look good and feel comfortable. Any input?

I’m also considering a 3-stone with three half carat superideal Stones... would that look weird?

If anyone has seen pics of 3- or 5-stone diamond bands on size 4-5 fingers, link me! I like the look of uniform stone size.

Three half carats.

I once saw a lady who was rocking a ring, each stone was tension set. I forget how many, maybe 5? Anyways they were bright and sparkly and it was amazing!

@pearaffair don’t you already have a 50pt superideal?

Why don’t you use it in a three stone if you want a larger look? I would match two 15pt-20pt to it and it will look amazing.

This is one of my all time favorite resets: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-bgd-rose-gold-trellis-three-stone-reset.181886/

I sure do! It is the solitaire in the pic above.

I have tried three stones like the one you linked to, and while they are beautiful, I actually prefer a look where each stone is the same size.

Ok got it. Then maybe @Tekate’s 30th anniversary ring is a better example. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/tekates-whiteflash-trellis-ring.231066/

I would still get slightly smaller side stones, maybe 40pt or so, which will also be much better for the budget, but if you want them all equal, that is also ok, it’s your ring!

Hi @pearaffair, I see you are looking for some pictures of this ring. =)2 We bought it as my wedding ring in 2013 and I love it. I had it sized down from 6 to 5.5 - it’s still a bit loose on me. I typically wear it alone. I have pretty small hands/short fingers and it definitely holds its own. Your finger size is pretty small so I think the span of this ring might be pushing it.

The centre stone is a bit bigger than the others, which was a shipping error on Costco’s part. They had two similar rings at the time - one with the bigger centre and the other with all equal sized stones. I liked it so I kept it.

Of course, you can be much pickier about the diamonds if you were to build it elsewhere, but it is super sparkly and I still get tons of compliments 5 years later.

The caution I have is the way the diamonds are set, the girdles are completely exposed. My centre stone has a small chip, once I discovered it I have been more careful with the ring. I don’t think I’m overly rough on my rings, but I have been more mindful in general since joining PS.

Let me know if there are others I could take for you that might be helpful.

40 point (I think) OMCs on a size 5-5.25 finger, 7 stones. Ring is sized at 5.5

I did want it sized down to 4.5 but it couldn’t be done safely... so it sits on the only fingers big enough to take it!

I find that it is a little pokey between the fingers but not TERRIBLE considering the size of the stones.
