What do you guys think of this stone? Has anyone bought from gem trader before? Are pictures accurate?

Tourmaline pear

I received a spinel from gem trader, and was very happy with it (even though I lost the pendant I put it in, sniffle).

He has a lovely return policy I hear, and he''s a really nice guy and responsive to questions. Personally, I like tourmalines that are more blue than green, but that''s just personal preference.

I have and his pictures are pretty accurate. He''s a really nice person and returns / refunds are also very prompt. As stated, the stone is more green than blue and there are eye visible inclusions which I can see in the picture. Are you all right with that? It is also a little on the fat side, and so you might need a custom setting.

So next up for Gailey is to set the morganites in simple white gold baskets with a little loop for the post of my new pearl studs, or diamond studs to go through. Here''s a pic of how they will look (sort of!).

Oh, and I got my Malaya garnet back from the jeweller set in a cut down version of my Isle of Capri Aqua setting.

Pictures of that later, waiting for the camera battery to charge!

Omg, the morganites look gorgeous! Can''t wait to see them when its furnished.

Would love to see pic of the Malaya garnet too!

I''m setting my aqua and getting my spess!!!! The aqua is going in the Jewelryhoo fake Cartier Ballerine setting - assuming it''s not a terrible setting.

Finally got my malaya, blue tourmaline, and the BE pad set. Picture of all the rings aquired during my stay here in PS...just noticed that I forgot my diamond ring, blue sapphire and my spess pendant for the photo shoot!!

Just got this pink tourmaline from a gem show this weekend. It's amazing because it flashes blue along the facet edges, and it's a bubblegum pink with a lavender undertone. It holds it's color in all lighting. I bought it from a gentleman that specializes in precision cut colored stones. I never saw a pink tourmaline that flashes blue along the facets. Sorry for the bad picture, but I want a setting for it, and I think white gold would be best. See the blue flashes! Sorry for the bad picture, but the stone doesn't like to focus for me. 3.67 carats.

Nice setting LTP and lovely stone TL! Regarding thegemtrader I bought a stone from Brad but have to return it (too small, cabs look smaller than a round facted cut), I feel bad about having to return but the money can go towards another stone so...refund was prompt and he''s been very helpful in answering my queries and sending photos.

Wow, LG, that emerald has that satiny glow. How large is that stone? Traditional treatment? Your mum sure is lucky to receive such a ring.

Chrono it''s about 1 carat and it''s described as treatment free. I hope she likes it too.
