Bling Wish List 2021

The only (substantial) bling I got last year are my OEC studs. Which I wear more often than anything at the moment. Because studs just go so well with masks LOL. And they are always easy to wear while hiking.


As for 2021, I have nothing on my (bling) wish list. My only wish is good health for all my loved ones; friends and family.

I'm done for 2021 so this is to update my 2021 list.

1) work on pearl collection- condense, re-string, upgrades, etc.
2) sell or give away other jewelry that I no longer wear.
#1 and #2 are done, for now.

3) small Tahitian stud earrings
Done. Bought secondhand from one of our own lovely PS-ers.

4) silver and cz tennis necklace.
5) silver and cz special occasion dangle earrings.
#4 and #5 are done. Also bought a CZ and white gold tennis necklace.

6) lab diamond, moissanite or cz stud earrings in non-flimsy wg prong setting, 2-2.5 ctw.
Done but decided to just go with plated sterling silver and CZ instead.

7) lab diamond, moissanite or cz stud earrings in non-flimsy yg halo setting, 2ctw-
No but still want.

8 ) new setting for e-ring, with larger v-prongs and in smaller ring size.
Done but with changed goal (see #11).

9) one complete ring, or two nice stones (mined or lab) to be set as funds allow.
Done (one complete ring, custom made with lab sapphire and diamonds).

10) costume, sterling or cz "fun" jewelry.
Done, for now. (Necklace, ring and probably more that I don't remember right now).

11) possibly have diamond set into bangle bracelet this year.
Done.

12) jewelry box/es
13) new safe
14) new safety deposit box
#12, #13 and #14 are done for now but with some changed goals.

15) Upgrade shield ring w better diamonds.
No, but still want.

I did more of my wish list than I realized. I also got a large lab sapphire pendant and a 14k yellow gold and CZ necklace. Now on to 2022!

My list for 2021 is bridged from 2020 as I left it so long.
in the works
The sapphire set into the diamond Ballerina setting.
The iolite bar brooch put onto/ into a necklace.
A Moissanite ring and diamond ring guard sized so I can wear them.
A yellow sapphire ring resized so I can wear it.
to follow (so far)
Putting the white sapphire in the Blue sapphires mount, if it fits.
swapping gold watch bracelets over on 2 vintage watches.

yes to sapphire set in Ballerina setting
yes to Iolite brooch added to necklace (but sadly it’s too short for me … grrr..)
No to yellow sapphire not resized, I’m going to sell it instead.

yes to white sapphire into blue sapphire setting
yes to sorting watchbands on my vintage Rolex watches.

Great idea revisiting this topic as the year winds down. Glad to see others made wishlist items happen!

This year I did:

- send 1 star sapphire to be set, in a ring, for a gift for my mother
- find a rich red, round garnet to be put into a brooch later on

I didn't get another Welo opal to make a pair for a pendant yet.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for auctions for broken vases… To scavenge the (hopefully intact) chain from.

I have too much to learn still re. Dating and authenticating to buy just yet but it’s on my 2022 list.
