Belcher setting question

Hi all, I have an OEC that has a thin girdle and I was thinking of setting it in a bezel or a belcher setting with no other stones. I am looking to have the mounting have a vintage feel with either design or engraving. Is there a designer that you feel would be a good choice to make a ring like this? Thanks!

Stuller offers various Belcher mountings that just about any jeweler should be able to order for you; a plain one could be engraved before your OEC is set.

Even though it will be a special order (Stuller doesn't keep these in stock & may have to make additional modifications for your particular stone), this could be less expensive than going custom "from scratch".

The fact that Stuller denominates most of these as men's rings  doesn't mean that all of those will be too wide for your tastes or finger.

Score! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks MM! I have looked at sholdt because they seem to be bezel masters. I am really looking for something that has a vintage feel and I think they have some really great options. Seeing the engraving on that ring was great as I haven't seen a sholdt like that yet. My engagement ring is a semi bezel very simple more modern looking ring so I am hoping that the setting for this diamond will look different than that setting. This is how I got involved with the belcher look. I have also been looking at the bezels that Ann McKay and Caleb Meyer have to offer. I am not sure if my diamond is one they might consider setting since it seems that both have a kind of "it depends" policy. I really like some of their bezel options. I need to search for more threads that have their rings as examples and see if people were satisfied. That may be my next thread! Keep ideas coming if you have them! ;))

I'd like to think that your OEC will enable you to gain entree through their "it depends" policy. By any chance, are you familiar with Tom Herman (Seven Fingers Jewelry: he lost 3 fingers in a childhood accident) in Pound Ridge, NY. He started his goldsmithing career at Van Craeynest & I'm thinking he might be a possibility for you:

Hi DS,

I LOVE the artemis setting from LAD/CVB. It is simple and elegant. Thanks for the reminder!
