Thanks! After MANY boxes, I found the *almost* perfect one for my collection. I had to add the extra ring holders but other than that, it holds everything perfectly. I tell myself that it is full so I must be done! Wink, wink!

Ive been buying jewellery since I was 8. I’ve received jewellery for virtually every birthday and Christmas, if asked what I want. I had a “list” I complied at 16 which I then spent decades acquiring. I’ve spent every spare $$$ on bling, always.
Back then I wanted mostly, a gold Rolex, an opera length stand of pearls, a 1 carat diamond ring (i thought that a HUGE size), some gold bangles, some gold necklaces, a gold charm bracelet, a big gemstone ring and diamond studs. Some of my “wants” were later upgraded with the intention of rehoming (selling) the earlier piece. That hasn’t happened as often as it should!
My weakness for many years was vintage watches. I was on a mission to save as many as I could from the melting pot. I think I got up to 75 watches. DH eventually put his foot down and said “no more in until some go out!”. It’s actually been a while since I purchased a watch.
Arent i a good girl!
truth is I’m actually saturated with bling. Nothing more I desire. Thats a bit embarrassing I think.
I have $6,000 to spend for a special purchases (plus another $4,000 from earlier rehoming) and nothing has motivated me. I almost bought that Cartier Love bangle but I’ve hesitated, its not as if I can go to the store due to lockdown anyway.
here is some of my bling. Compulsive hoarder here. Cant help it! But the flip side is that eventually I let things go again. It’s like the tide, regular and predictable. When my collection gets too big, I get nervous and start jettisoning. And then I regret it and start buying again. Hopeless!

I am SOOOOO...MUCH THE SAME!!! ;-)
I get nervous when i feel like i have to much that i dont wear, then when i sell something and am packing it up, I am loaded with regret. :( But my collection never really gets too big, I just feel like it is. I have 6 necklaces, 6 charms, 2 pairs of earrings, 8 rings, and 1 bracelet. Is this minimalist??

I should also mention that everything i have i adore, and most are pieces that i longed for long before i got them. I will try to take a pic of my "hoard" later. We are refinishing our floors (doing the work ourselves) starting tomorrow, and i have so much moving around to do!!! :errrr:
PS is a great distraction when i need to take a break.

I'm defo a minimalist. I get stressed when I have to choose between too many things so by having less I don't have to make those choices.

I have a platinum art deco band that belonged to my gran, my WF 6 stone ring, a WF semi custom DBTY bracelet (9 stones), a Tiffany hardware ball bracelet, a double strand blue baroque akoya bracelet and a blue zircon ring that I converted from a brooch. There's an opal bracelet that I fancy and I recently discovered the VCA thread and have convinced myself that I need some VCA in my life! When I'm done I'll probably have 10 - 12 pieces in total and they will be rings or bracelets. I do enjoy looking at everyone else's sparklies though.

It’s actually a French made Masonic watch. Quite rare in the triangle shape.
Im almost ashamed to say I only wear my Apple Watch these days, what with lockdown the only outing I seem to have is to walk the dogs or get groceries.
Sure, come for lunch one day. We can play in the pretties :appl:

My collection is really too large but I love every piece. I rarely wear some of it though. I guess it's like having eyes larger than your actual appetite!

Can I be a middleist? I have quite a few ‘nice’ engagement style rings and switch both my left and right hand rings every few days. But that said, I generally only wear a stack in my left ring finger and one ring on my right ring finger or index. Never wear rings on two fingers next to each other. I only wear one simple necklace, a EC yellow sapphire or a DBTY Tiffany one. Earnings are always studs, either a small round or ass her set.

One watch and very simple, basic clothes. basic colors, very few patterns. For special days, I’ll wear one bracket, generally a cuff or a bangle. I used to do more watch, ring, bangle mixy and match, but since Covid, I’ve sold most of what I’d call fashion rings, pendants, and bracelets and am keeping to the more curated stuff.

I’d be happy with the same shoes every day. I have hard to fit feet, so if I find a shoe that works, I have a tendency to buy multiple pairs and run with it.

My rings and handbag are where I add flair.

Each one of these little bags is a ‘capsule’ (thanks @DorotheaBrooke for the idea) separated by gold color, then by House - such as Etruscan, Edwardian, etc. One of the things I like best is getting a new item sorted into its house by comparing it to existing capsules. Sigh! What a hobby!

Oh my goodness I love this. But what if you like one piece with a bunch of other “friends”? How to commit to just one house? Hmmm

Good point! To each their own, as the saying goes. But in my experience if I find something just doesn’t ‘play well with others’ it winds up unworn and eventually resold - so I can adopt more pieces that do!

I want to be a minimalist and the type of person who saves all her $ to buy one ginormous diamond or something, but I can't do it. It's fun to have plans and projects and then I get inspired by a colored gem here, a gold piece there. Yes I still want the ginormous diamond. :lol-2: Also those of you who posted pics of your jewelry boxes - you guys are organized!! I try to do that and it lasts maybe two days.

What a set up! It looks like we share the same stars and Cresent pin; ).

I probably was a minimalist before PS but now there is no hope. I have been good about just one diamond ring, but colored stones seem to multiply in my drawer.
