Anyone think that this is a diamond?? Or know what it is if not

I've been given this ring by a family member and I'd love to know if it is a diamond, or just a semi precious stone. If its not, then any idea what it might be. ?

It has a very pale antique type pink/yellow tone and tiny bits of very pale blue also come through but in bright light looks mostly clear. Is it possible it could be quartz of some kind. Not sure if my pics help but I've also put some microscope ones here as well it seems to have a lot of cuts and effort gone into making it shine so no idea what it may be.

Any input would be fabulous. thanks

I don't think it's possible to tell from photos really but if I had to guess I'd say rose quartz. Some more knowledgeable posters should be along shortly!

Ditto. That was my first thought when I saw the stone.

@Shazbo Google images of rose quartz to see how it compares to what you see; just know that the cut/faceting may vary a bit.

It looks like glass to me.
I can clearly see flaking on one of the prongs, 7th photo down, top prong. So I'm sure it is plated costume jewelry.

Thanks everyone, its not a costume ring, I know its a silver band so likely it may be quartz, still it's pretty and I do like it so not disappointed

It could be ‘Rose de France’ which is pale blush amethyst (synthetic) but in any case, it’s very pretty! Enjoy it!

I saw Rose de France amethysts in Brasil in the early 1970's, well before synthetic amethysts were on the market.

With the conchoidal fractures observed on the girdle and facet junctions, it is definitively not a diamond.

Lovely, though it looks like it needs a bit of a clean.
Grab an old toothbrush and a dab of washing liquid and gently clean the underneath section, rinse off and dry off.
The “rose de France” amethyst are a pale pink tone vs the usual purple. Mine is an old ring, circa 1900, with 6 wee rubies.

i don't know, our sizes are letters not numbers here
despite having tiny hands and fingers (and feet) they are little fatties
i can never just walk into a store and buy a ring and walk back out with it on, i have to wait 3 weeks for it to be manufactured in my size
and my thumb, index and middle finger seem to all be almost the same size
rings look ok on but if i take them off its kind of embarrassing to see how big they are

but im not afraid to get rings sized to fit
