WHoa! If they get frustated for a 25K purchase, I wonder how long it will take them to get frustraded with my $4K purchase

Lorelei, they offered me to gave a gemologist take a look at the stone.. so I agreed.
I am still waiting for the other ASETs I asked for, and one of the original stones I posted ($4.5K, no reports) got sold. I wont be getting one for that one

Ok that sounds good, let us know how you get on! Shouldn''t be any frustration involved, a good vendor will value all their clients regardless of what they have to spend and will be pleased to reassure and answer any questions the client may have.

And you are most welcome!

I just got the GIA report of one of the diamonds that I requested the ASET for. I hope I get the ASET soon so I can share it. Opinions?

Thanks!
Sal.

Look promising.

Can''t tell much by the numbers only that it has potential. ASET will tell us more.

ya, have to agree. Sorry about that.

Is the 1.03 G still available to you?

First one has the better ASET.

First one as in first of these two, or first from the three?

Out of the two on this page the first ASET is my preference.

Thanks Lorelei! I really appreciate your input.. do you have any concerns about this stone? Stone-cold11, what do you think?

I have the GIA report for that diamond. There were some concerns about the diamond appearing smalller, Lorelei do you think it will?

Thanks!
Sal.

Slightly smaller face up dimensions, due to the thick girdle probably, about 0.1mm compared to a similar AGS0 princess.

AJ wants to release the other 2 from hold.. so I guess I should not scream "Stooopp!" then ?

Thanks!

So the #1 still on hold for you?

Yes, they originally offered for a gemologist to take a look at it and I agreed, therefore they held it for me (I should have it on hold at least till next week when they get results). I am also looking for diamonds in Whiteflash.. yea.. i think I started to hyperventilate again hahahahah

Good Luck. :)

Recap.
Performance aside, it's worth noting that the first two diamonds were polished with four chevrons in each pavilion quadrant and the other was cut with three. That's a difference of 40 facets on the pavilions vs 32, which can create a notable difference in character.

Hi John, is it better to have 4 or 3? I would definetivelly appreciate some feedback from more experts

Thanks!
Sal.

Personal preference. Generally 3 chevrons has larger fewer facets, resulting in larger but fewer flashes from a 4 chevrons cut stone.

I guess ill have to look online for some pics with 3 and 4 chevrons to see the difference. Thanks Stone-cold11!

Chava, i went with a three chevron ACA princess from White Flash..... SIMPLY AMAZING! I love it, it out performs anything I have ever seen.

I saw a video with 4 chevrons.. and it was to much for me.. it looked like crushed ice. I am more than ecstatic about my Whiteflash ACA 3 chevron choice.

Hi, unless I am doing something wrong in the search an ACA princess ~1ct is way out of my budget

.. they seem to be going for $11K.. I would like to spend $4K tops.. some more if there was some amazing thing

If John makes it back he is indeed an expert and his opinion is well worth having. The second ASET diamond looks the best to me.

Chava, a 1 ct diamond was out of my budget, but my now finance preferred a diamond that had a higher quality over size. I went with a diamond that was .77ct for about $3300. E color, VS2, and whiteflash ACA. The size difference of from .770 and 1 ct was not that big of a deal for me. It all depends on what you and your girlfriend want. If she definitely wants 1ct, then id go with that. OR something right under like .90-.95. Once you hit the 1ct mark, there is a price increase due to demand i believe.

*Edit* I believe the difference in a 3/4ct diamond and 1 ct diamond is under 1/2 of a millimeter. Its just an estimate since all diamonds have different specs, but thats what i found.

Take a look at the ASET and IdealScope image on this diamond, i think this is more geared for what you are looking for. The only thing i might mention is that it is an I color.. i have no experience with I colors, I don't think it would be an issue if you are not color sensitive.. but ill let someone else state differently.

Also wanted to state that this diamond is a 3 chevron diamond. The face measurement is 5.14-5.12 (.82ct). The James Allen 1.03 ct diamond you were looking at had a face measurement of 5.50-5.48mm. I'm sorry if this makes your decision harder or not lol.

Let me know if there is anything else i can help guide you lol

Chava, this was posted early from Stone-Cold;

*Edit* 2 chevron - i believe you saw the video of the difference between 2 and 3 chevrons, right? Take a look again if you need. i watched that dam video 5-6 times haha

There were a couple things that you asked that didn't get answered. Firstly, this one is much closer to the 1ct mark than my previous post. Secondly, you asked "what was the yellow in the picture of the diamond". This has nothing to do with the I color. It is either from something yellow in the room or maybe something yellowish from the photographer's clothing. THIRDLY, lol, with a wire-price/pricescope discount, it would cut 5 percent off. this would make it still in your budget hopefully.

Alrighty?

Stone-cold11: Thanks a lot for the 2 suggestions, the one from whiteflash I can see yellow sparles on the diamond, is that because of the color or is that a photographic artifact? In the other one the incussions seem to be in the middel of the diamond, does that affect the brilliance? I actually like the one from whiteflash I wonder if I can notice the color on it.

Thanks!
Sal.
The yellow is a lighting artifact, nothing to worry about in the WF stone.
The other the centre table inclusions although it may not affect brilliance too much that much would likely not be eye clean.
