ACA studs

I have a once in a lifetime chance to buy myself dream studs. I bought from whiteflash once before but returned them.
I don't want to spend stupidly but don't want to feel like I compromised IYKWIM. Size will probably top out at just under 3 TWC as my ears are pretty thin, I want showstoppers. What would you do for color and clarity, please? Thank you!!!

I think I ordered d vvs1 or something ridiculous for studs. And for the price they were small. But the shine of those diamonds and the whiteness almost had me keeping them. Where is the sweetspot between mind clean, eye clean, bright white and spending needlessly ? I am sure it is individual! Thank you!

Most of the advice you’ll see in response to this question will be repetitions of what was said in that thread - drop colour to G, drop clarity to at least VS1, even VS2, go up in size for big, white, and bright

Oh yah. Kinda overkill. F is still colorless. Many people start seeing tint at I, especially from the side. Lots of people opt for H-I and SI for value and size.

I have Brian Gavin signature studs that are I SI2 and J SI1. Both totally eye clean. I would do SI again, and even near colorless, because I want more size for the money.

Presuming you have a set budget. And want a premium cut quality. It depends which of the other "C"s that you value more. Size? Color (or lack of)? Clarity? Unless it's a cloudy or super included stone, nobody will see inclusions in an SI earring at any kind of a polite distance.

Staying at whiteflash will allow you to upgrade size or color at a later date.

For myself I like G/H and eye clean from any angle any distance. My wife had a BGD 1.007 G SI2 that meet that requirement. Amazing stone and great bang for the buck, so to speak.

G should be safe but if you are color sensitive F is a safer bet. I’m talking about seeing the tint face up and not just from the side. You can go eye clean up to SI2 (which is what I have, but requires good vendor and careful search) so that’s a mind clean thing IMO. Otherwise VS grade is pretty safe. If you can advise your preferred budget, folks can chime in with suggestions. Good luck with your search!
