A blingtastic end to 2021

I went almost all of 2021 without a ring project. I think, like most people, I was in a bit of a funk. However, I think I‘ve more than made up for it in the last several weeks. In 0 to 60 fashion, I now have three new rings to add to my collection.

First, I purchased this gorgeous pink sapphire ring on Etsy (thanks to @Rfisher who shared it with me). It’s 4.7cts of pure purplish pink goodness.
I had the stone polished by DK and it looks amazing now. These pics are pre-polish but I have more info & pics in this thread (click here).
It’s destined for a juicy halo in the very near future (I am a halo hoe after all).

Then, a mere 10 days before Christmas, I woke up to this beautiful purple sapphire ring on Loupe Troop. A 5ct, unheated, Leon Mege masterpiece. It goes from grape jelly to straight fuchsia and I LOVE it!
I like to think of this as a surprise Christmas gift to myself.

And last but not least, my new tanzanite ring from David Klass. I had this gorgeous (if I do say so myself) concave cut tanzanite from @PrecisionGem that I was dying to set. (Setting journey here). It’s my first concave cut gem and after seeing it in person, it definitely won’t be my last. The concave faceting makes it look like it has internal fireworks. It’s freaking awesome!!

I knew I wanted a halo to showcase this baby. There’s just something about a bright white halo against colored gems that makes my heart sing! It’s like rainbows and unicorns, and magical fireworks all at the same time. And as if the halo wasn’t enough, I decided to set it with a sweet pair of Cadillac diamonds I had as well…and IMO, the finished ring is perfect!

Thank you! I was really debating which gem I wanted to set and I’m so glad I went with the tanzanite. It’s the perfect style of ring for me. A three stone…but with a halo!

I love that stone size on you, seems to be the perfect amount of coverage. And the perfect shade of pink imo.
