Hello Pricescopers, I'm looking to purchase the best 2 ct round diamond that 34k will buy.

What I'm looking for:
Carat: 2
Cut: Ideal/Excellent
Color: I would like to stay in the colorless group D-F
Clarity: VS2 - VS1

Please help me find a beautiful diamond.

I was looking at that stone from Whiteflash but they raised the price by 3k while I was looking at it, it was priced at $35,878 . Too bad since that stone would of made my short list. The GOG might just work and I'm under budget. Thanks Miss!

The B2C stone ran through the HCA Tool rated it a 4.3. Yikes! The James one came back as 2.4, not bad but I'm hoping for a HCA score of 2 or lower. From reading here I would like the table to be about 55-57, depth 60-61, crown angle 34-36 and pavilion angle 40.5-41. I I Thank you for trying to help, I will continue my search.

Correct it missed out on being Ideal. You could phone or him and ask if anything else is coming in. And also check with High Performance Diamonds as well.

How would you guys feel about making this selection process into a contest, with the winner receiving a $150 gift card. The rules will be simple. Whoever can find a diamond that everyone agrees is the most beautiful for the money budgeted will win. As we get a list going I will place the diamonds on hold until the forum can decide. What do you guys think? Are you game?

Eric, it sounds like great fun but I'm not sure the forum rules permit such a thing. The beauty of PS is that we will play for no prize - the help is yours for the asking!

Also, you can call any of the vendors as well and tell them what you are looking for. Stones can be called in for you as well - just an option if none of the potentials work for you!

Oh my god -- nice job saving! :appl:

... are you sure...on a diamond?

Here are a few:

If signature cut is a priority, D-F color may be challenging. The BG Blue may be a great option as this will appear more white in well-lit areas. And H color usually appears colorless unless table-down anyway.

Brian Gavin:

James Allen:

Proud of this find!!
HCA 0.8 / GIA EX-EX-EX
2.07 ct / G color / VS2

And the price, drumroll... 32,510.

I would immediately put this guy on hold.

If I "win" you can make a donation of 150 to either

(1) SPCA

or

(2) USO

Otherwise, just enjoy the diamond. The easy buys are the signature branded diamonds, but I think that the last one I posted from JA is a superb value that meets nearly all of your specifications.

Best of luck!

I second the suggestion of the G in pre-loved. It's a gorgeous stone and setting.

+1 -- this was the very ring that sucked me into PS!!! I love love LOVE it!!!

I will take a look at the suggestions gals/guys. I apologize if the contest is not within the forum rules I just wanted to have more people participate and maybe have some fun out of it. I am short on time to find an engagement diamond and needed the forums expert advice. Hopefully within a week I can find what I'm looking for as my girlfriend and I are leaving for Paris in October, where I plan to surprise her with a proposal there. Thanks for trying to help me guys.

What a romantic destination to propose!! ...lucky girl!

Maximus,
The James Allen one has potential. It pass the rejection criteria for HCA tool. I will have to investigate further. Nice find!!

I too would also get the 2.375ct from the pre-loved section. To me that is pure prefection. But I'm also really into size. I would much rather drop down to eye clean SI1 and get closer to 3cts vs. 2cts. But that is just me!

Okay, you guys have convinced me to check out the pre-loved G stone. How do I contact the owner? I cant seem to find the PM button.

Here you go, there is a "contact seller" button on the left. You will need to create an account to contact the seller (for free), and after that you connect by your e-mail.

To be transparent, I know the seller personally (met through PS). But I have seen this diamond in person and it is exactly as described.

Sorry I didn't see that you didn't like fluoro. Luckily the James Allen diamond doesn't have it.

Also keep in mind that most of the vendors offer pricescope discounts on the diamonds. In the 7-8k pricerange (what I just spent) it was typically 150-200, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was more as you go higher in price.

Mr. Allen peruses these forums apparently, maybe he can discuss how they decide their PS discount. My guess is it would be 2-300. Not a huge amt in a 35k purchase, but money in your pocket is always worth it.

Thanks Dreamer, I've contacted her.

Now that IS one stunning stone!!!!

I think the diamond search engine on pricescope is broken for Whiteflash. When clicking on any of the diamonds from them the price is higher than what is shown on the results. Can someone verify if this is happening to them to. If not I think I will have to delete all my cookies for this site and the vendors and browse in private mode for the best prices.

that stone that is posted by Dreamer is over in preloved, i think they said they are taking offers.

I think the prices shown on here have got PS discount while on WF they list normal price first but then you should see under it price with PS discount and wire price with PS discount (which is same as the price shown on the results of search engine). At least that's what I see on my computer.
