3.5ct tsav pear ring

I own a ring that had the same patina from CVB. It’s a paint as you said. Mine started coming off after a jeweller cleaned it in an ultrasonic that had ammonia in the cleaning water. I decided to remove it by soaking it in ammonia myself. Came right off. The ring looks even better imo without it. Before that the treatment lasted 3 years. So it isn’t so delicate if you avoid ammonia and apparently steam.

Having worn it for awhile I think I like the patina as it slowly wears here and there. The tsav is the star of the show anyways.

Heh I’ve already caused a little facet fleabite… oh well! I’m going to rely on my vision aging to deter me from getting it polished since I think it’d make me sad destroy the bezel on the ring
