Remembering September 11

It is hard to believe that it was only a scant 16 years ago before the world as we knew it changed. September 10th, 2001, was blissful and most of us wish we could have paused the day right there never having to live through the events of September 11th and the terror and sadness which followed.

We remember being crippled with fear when four planes which were piloted by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon and crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We were, and continue to be, proud of the heroism shown by the passengers on United 93, the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Most importantly, we are proud of how we banded together in the days, weeks and months which followed our country’s darkest days.

Now, today we ask for you to remember those who lost and sacrificed their lives on that day. We owe it to them not to forget their names and to come together once again for the good of the country.
