Oooh! I love that Amber!

And don''t worry, Rae, it''s not just for e-rings! Sure, I thought the thread would help people who didn''t think that colored gem e=rings were possible or who wanted help brainstorming for that, but I always wanted a central place for us to show off all our colored gem eye candy!

.... This one is amber... the colour is amazing, it varies from a light green/olive to an deep rusty red..... it''s a fairly large ring, though!!!
You don''t see that too often - very pretty IMO. I have a pair of green amber earrings my friend bought me when she went to Poland.

I love the sapphire and tanzanite rings. My e-ring will have a sapphire as the center stone, that much I've decided. My fave ring in this thread is NyssaLynne's all-sapphire ring on page 2. I think I found the design I want for my e-ring to be!

Hi! This is my birthstone right hand ring. Its a London blue topaz 6.5mm round set in my original e-ring setting, an antique style platinum 3 stone basket setting. The two side diamonds are G VS2, premium cut. each .17 ct. There are ten pave stones, 5 on each side, G VS2 totalling 0.16 ct. The pave are surrounded by milgrain engraving on all sides, and there is detailing on the baskets. Ring size is 5.75. This pic makes it look light blue (sunlight pic) but its really a deep ocean blue-green.

last one in box.

Love this topic! My first e-ring was a garnet. I love red spinel and deep aquas(someone here received a gorgeous one for her birthday? I can''t remember who this sec.) too!

Gorgeous, Kayla!
Was this the garnet that was your first e-ring?

Thanks for the compliment Vel! Actually my e-ring was similar to this one by Gil et Jean but not exactly the same. I have one of their bracelets too. Great jewelery if you like rustic-y red garnet pieces!

small tanz - pink sapphire P6292644.JPG

small tanz - sapphire P6292658b.jpg

Cflutist''s double trouble tanzanite and pink sapphire rings.
These are 8 x 6 mm calibrated stones but since they have different Specific Gravities,
the tanz (SG = 3.35) is 1.23 ct, and the pink sapphire (SG = 4.00) is 1.68 ct.

Wow, that is some ring. I love sapphires and yours is just stunning. I love the color of it. Is it a ceylon??

no, its not a ceylon

but it is a gorgeous stone. My local jeweller is amazing and uses incredibly beautiful stones in his work. Reading some of the stories on here about the problems people have had with B&M jewellers makes me realise how lucky I am

I suppose my spelling gave me away Kaleigh

. I'm actually in the north of England so things tend to be a little less over-priced.

Thanks widget - your collection is wonderful, I've spent many hours looking at your rings

This is a ring I alternate with my sapphire and diamond cluster. Its a platinum bezel set diamond .97ct J colour and SI2 with a pair of tanzanite baguettes on each shoulder.
