Colored Stone E-rings/Eyecandy

Adding this 2 carat (9mm) trillion cut tanzanite in 14K yellow gold with 1/2 carats in diamonds (JTV):IMG_0995_JTV_TRILLION_14KYG_2CT_Tanzanite_Ring.jpegIMG_0992_JTV_TRILLION_9MM_14KYG_RING.jpeg

Ohh! That's pretty

incredibly beautiful. Yes! Yes! Yes!

That's an old photo. The stone popped out of the setting about 1 yr after I had it made. Luckily it happened in my office. It has since been reset into a sturdier design.

Dreaming of setting ideas but I bought this BEAUTIFUL light blue (hints of purple) opalescent sapphire. It’s 2.08 carats and 8.18✖️6.11✖️4.49 mm

What a pretty color!

Here is the emerald ring I had for a few years but I don’t wear it often somehow. It is a right hand ring most of the time but sometimes I wear it as a set on my ring finger. Love yellow gold with emerald.

Wow!!! So pretty

Finally obtained a yellow gold setting from Bestingems at the gem show to set my deep Burmese spinel which contains much of its natural shape.

Mahenge spinel for comparison in white gold.

Both are 1.5 carats. IMG_7833.jpegIMG_7826.jpeg

I bought a couple of nice (and very affordable) yellow gold ring settings with nice eye clean SI clarity natural diamond accents from Best in gems last year.

So pretty. Based on your previous recommendation of best in gems i have purchased pendant setting from them and sometimes next week i should be getting a ring set with a spessartite i sent them.

I bought this spessartite at a gem show and sort of regretted it because in a real rookie move i did not bring my magnifier with me (or my reading glasses) and so only once at home i was able to see the stone has quite the window. On the positive side the stone is very lively and stays so even in low light and the orange has very little brown to it IRL. Nevertheless, no more gems shows for me.
I decided to set it in rose gold setting from Best in gems. The photo in direct light is quite accurate as far as stone color and liveliness.IMG_4717.jpegIMG_4731.jpeg

Honestly I can’t see the window and I’m normally the type of person who hones in on them. It’s beautiful!

Thank you! I was not happy with myself as far as how i bought it (didn’t take my glasses with me or my jeweler’s loupe), total amateur hour. it makes me feel much better that i did alright. I think rose gold helps, it brings out the orange more.

Not sure if I have shared this video of my near 40ct blue green EC Tourmaline cut by Jeff White in this thread, so here it is and apologies in advance if it is duplicated. As far as I am aware, the stone is cleaner than what one can see in the video:

I do not have it in hand yet, however, it will be set as a brooch pendant as I doubt if I could wear such a big CS as a ring.

Instead of 'Bird on a Rock', I shall have a cat and a dog in memory of my beloved pets that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

DK :))
