@mrs-b

Your charm bracelet is darling. I especially like the passport charm with all the fine details.

The EC diamond is gorgeous! I can't wait to see the finished ring.

Thank you so much, @GlitterInMyHair! The ring should be eye popping, if I'm holding up my part of the bargain - because, goodness knows, the stone is STUNNING!

And thank you for the comments re the charm bracelet - it's been a huge amount of work and is very precious. :)

And I still utterly covet your pendant!!

I've been putting together my charm bracelet for a long time now. I started with something far more generic many years ago and have slowly been replacing charms with custom made ones that mean something personal to me. I've always loved enamel and I adore color, so the bracelet is taking on a greater preponderance of both those things. I've decided I still have 2 more charms to go - maybe 3 - but I'm posting this now because I've been doing it for so long, I just want to share it at this point. The charms are almost all 18kt, while the few pre-made ones are mostly 14kt with one 18kt. It's *really* heavy - which I love - and very eye-catching. It's a great piece to wear with blue jeans and a white shirt.

I love your charms! They are so vibrant, detailed and wonderfully thought out! I just started out collecting a few charms and am very inspired by your bracelet!

I was considering these several weeks ago and now they are here! Just posted in a necklace thread, but please bear with me as I re-copy it here:

I didn't think I was into charms, until I fell for these vintage 9ct gold ones. I am wearing these as individual pendants for now, but will likely wear them as layered individual pendants or a charm necklace or charm bracelet occasionally. Or perhaps even hang them from french hooks as mismatched earrings. They are small but ridiculously detailed. I'll let the photos do the talking...

I don't think I can ever afford a real Fabergé egg, so I'm overjoyed with this egg charm that opens! There's even a little bird inside!

This hour glass charm has real sand and works!

Just to give you an idea how small they are (and I have fairly small hands with ring finger size 2.75):

Thank you @mrs-b! I hope they won't be too heavy and an overkill to wear together, but I think it'll be a fun piece!

Thank you @Niffler75 ! The seashorse was a gift from my grandfather to my mother. I have never worn it before, but now I will!

Thank you, @Dandi! I can't believe it myself when they arrived! If I'm not wrong, I think the oldest charm dates all the way back to the 1950s. The jewellers from the glorious past do make some really phenomenal pieces indeed!

I didn't think I would be in here for awhile, but I so adore @CSpan 's emerald-licious stack, I decided to treat myself. Emerald is my birthstone too!
But since my job is on temporary hold, I'm doing layaway. I am thrilled to have this to look forward to. Her arrival will also be a sign that things are getting back to normal! At this point , normal sounds so good!

I'm a HUGE fan of charm bracelets, and yours is amazing!! I'd love to hear the story behind each and every one of these charms. That is what is so appealing to me about charm bracelets. Each one tells a unique story! We should do a separate topic just on charm bracelets! I have two, a Sterling one and a white and yellow (and some rose) gold one. So much fun!

Sigh. I gave the go-ahead yesterday for the cutter to start cutting the side stone for me EC. Good lord, I hope I'm not making a hideously expensive mistake with this!

I have one more layaway payment coming up, then this lady will be mine. 8) I found her on IG/Etsy. She's a Victorian conversion ring with 1.6 carats of OMCs, I through L color (exactly my sweet spot in terms of color). The hand in the third pic is the seller's.

This will likely be my only bling purchase in 2020 since our income has taken a massive, sphincter-clenching hit. If I had known there was going to be a global pandemic I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on this, but I guess she'll be my "souvenir" from this crazy and historic time.

Hi mrs-b!
your emerald cut diamond is breathtaking! It’s a dream diamond , and one that most ladies, including me, would love to own but never will. Please wear it and enjoy it for those of us who adore stunning, large EC diamonds!

P.S. Love your unique charm bracelet too, and your avatar ring. You have quite a collection going on there!

This is my most recent purchase. The antique setting. I love the coverage and the look. I’ve always wanted this dress for my stone. But it was a bit small so it has to be set with prongs rather than setting it flush. That’s the first issue. Second issue is I don’t know if my mrb looks out of place in an antique setting. Lol. Guess she will be wearing it for a while since my bench is not an essential.

K. My last 3 projects. I reset my sapphire into a 3 stone. 73F2AAD6-680D-4108-B15A-94D06FD7EDFC.jpeg

@nala - would you mind sharing the stats of the stones in your sapphire 3 stone? I love the proportions. Many thanks!

I was lucky enough to grab the 1.7 carat J August Vintage European Round that Starfacet listed on preloved jewels. I also bought a matching 1.7 carat J from the August Vintage website. I'll be making a set of studs!

(It's not an ideal time to buy and I had a lot of guilt over this purchase, but I was looking at studs for a while and wanted to jump on Starfacet's sale while it was still available!).

In case I have not mentioned in this thread, I am getting a bezel set diamond tennis bracelet as my celebration bling when Covid-19 is over.

Currently deciding on the diamond spec, should be finalised after the Easter weekend.

I am leaning towards 5cttw SI2/I1 2.5mm approx. stones rather than the smaller 4cttw VS2/SI1 2mm approx. ones for the same price.

DK :))

Yvonne is having an earring sale and I am super indecisive about setting some stones I bought from her so I decided to order a pre made pair of studs. They are apatite and I thought they were a nice green since I dont own much green other than my ER.
