She’s here!!!! Holy goodness gorgeous! I prefer to wear her by herself, which defeats the purpose. But I honestly think it’s my short fingers. Stacks don’t look great on me unless it’s a plain band.

Dipping my toe into coral! Will be sending to GIA just to verify they are natural angelskin and undyed and they need to be restrung because the knots are uneven. Will be on the lookout for a good clasp to match! Screen Shot 2022-07-16 at 8.35.52 PM.png

this is really lovelly

Thank you! Sadly I am going to be returning it. Even though I was going to rethread it myself, there was some old glue residue on some of the end beads that I'm afraid to try to scrape off, and the holes of the very outside beads got worn from being right next to the metal spring ring. Probably wouldn't have been a big deal but I also just wasn't loving the coral on. It was the perfect size and a nice enough shade but I couldn't get over how they reminded me of just plastic beads from far away. Up close they appeared to be natural coral as far as my limited knowledge of it goes. I may try to find a slightly more salmon (and less expensive) strand and see if that satisfies my curiosity.

In love with my Whiteflash ACA tennis bracelet! Well worth the wait! The stones are .18 pointers, and I had it made to 6.5”. I’m actually getting 2 more stones removed, as I still find it to be a bit large on my wrist.

It is gorgeous! Love the stone size. Also love the definition between each diamond - can appreciate the ‘roundness’ of each one.

You have to do a SMTB thread on this beauty!

Thank you!! All I know (or what I can find, I’ve looked everywhere lol) about the 5 stone is that it is 1.35ct TTW. I’m a size 5.5-5.75 for finger reference. The 6 stone band is 1.22cts and the stones are about 3.8mm. The side stones on my 3 stone are just shy of 5mm. I really need to buy calipers!

Finally, the package I sent to the bench I use in China back in April 2022 has finally arrived, woo hoo! :appl:

The 6.16ct Aqua and Morganite step cut traps that Jeff White had cut for me back in 2016 will finally be set in a ring, providing the air con at home can be fixed without costing too much (it is 16yo and I worry it may need to be replaced completely costing a bit of money).

These are the stones:
875343 875344
864600

This is the ring I have in mind:
864601

As the Aqua is quite big and deep, I am having something like this in the gallery, a small round diamond of some sort, may be tiny diamond melees on both sides of it too, to make it more interesting to look at from the side:

Can't wait to have it set!

DK :))

Ok. This next purchase has been on my list for a while—but hard to find. This am I put in an offer thinking no way —I even forgot about it—lol—bc didn’t expect it to be accepted. But it was! And now I get to wait for it! I will replace the stone with my one carat oec!! And I’m sooo excited. I know Art Deco isn’t everyone’s cup of tea in smtb, but for antique lovers—I wanted to share. 0353B3D1-BEF0-44D3-8452-D2D5BF99AFE8.png

I have a short & long term project in the works!

We plan on re-purposing the 0.3ct round diamond from my original engagement ring, most likely into a bezel dbty style pendant. Because my next project will be in platinum I’m thinking this pendant will be in 18kt rose gold…

For our 10th anniversary (in 2 years time!!) I want a platinum emerald cut pendant. I tried this one on & it was 0.6ct. It was stunning.

@nala, this is a beautiful setting and your OEC will look perfect in it, looking forward to seeing it!

I would like an earth mined OEC to be Gypsy set in Platinum for a right hand ring.

My budget is not big, hoping to get a stone about 0.7ct.

Hope you get your wish. I have a 0.5 ct. emerald pendant and it is a nice size. Understated but elegant. Come back and post if you get it.

Wanted a grey stone with fire and brilliance. Love my grey spinel but there’s not much fire. Tried grey moissanite but the cheap version I got looked meh. Finally I took an inexpensive chance on a LGD — I listened to all of the advice on how to avoid grey tones in LGDs and then did exactly the opposite.

DD65FA03-9824-4102-AB46-4F9BA413F21A.jpeg

Details in the LGD forum.
